I use this product in my sinus rinse equipment, that I use to treat allergies. I know it changes the water quality because it does not burn when applied, while tap water does burn. It does take patience to fill a glass or bottle because the water stream is small and pressure is light.
I haven't had the new filters installed for too long so I don't know about longevity yet. What I do know is that it has great water flow and tastes very clean. I like that it will have a beep and blinking light when it needs replacing.
Pros: Clean taste, Durable, Easy to clean, Easy to install
Since I have small, weak hands, I find it very (extremely) hard to remove and open the unit. Once it's open, I can easily replace the cartidges. However, because the unit closes so tightly, it doesn't leak. I guess it's ok to have to ask for help once every 6 months.
This is considerable improvement over the previous versions because it used to take several days (or weeks) to get all the air out; now it purges rather quickly due to new design of housing. The new filters do not require tools to change filters.
Pros: Clean taste, Durable, Easy to install, Long lasting filter
I often do a taste test on my guests. A sip of faucet water then a taste of Aquasana filtered water. Everyone says they can not believe the difference.
Pros: Clean taste, Durable, Easy to clean, Easy to install, Long lasting filter, Taste Test
