Our first Aquasana filter was a single stage counter top unit and we were quite pleased with it. It certainly was far superior to the other single stage, counter top unite we had researched. When Aquasana offered the two stage unit as an upgrade I wondered at first if there was any valid reason for the change but, as soon as it was hooked up and in use, the difference was immediately apparent. I was surprised that the water actually tasted cleaner and fresher than with the original unit even though the original had made a noticeable improvement.
