We have a well so our water already tastes quite good, but we use the Aqauasana filter system to ensure we keep any potentially harmful bacteria out of our drining water. We are pleased with the build and performance of the system and the filter cartridges are simple to replace. The only real downside to this filter is the slow water output, but we are willing to wait a few extra seconds because we trust the quality of the filtration and the cost per gallon is a good value.

Changing filters really makes a big difference in the "drinkability" and "Spring water taste" of our Fairfield,Iowa tapwater. Although our filters are scheduled to be changed every 6 months, 4 months is more realistic, IF you want that "alive, spring water taste". The AQ-5200 cartridges are not hard to disassemble and change, it takes just a little finesse and a strong grip to separate the housing. A Great Product!
