I moved and wanted to get another filter system like I had (Aquasana). Was very satisfied and able to change the filters myself. The new unit had been upgraded and was okay with that. Had a plumber install it. When it came time to replace the filters, found it was a real rocket science and physically impossible for me to access and change the filters myself, like the other unit I had. (Same under sink filter). Had to call the plumber to change the filters. The casing was cracked and had to get a replacement (only had the unit 6 months). I was not only without the water, but it cost me an arm and a leg for the plumber. Can't afford this every 6 months. Too bad, because the water is good. Would not recommend this unit unless you have a man around the house or a relative who is a plumber.
Pros: Clean taste
Cons: Difficult to install, Hard To Clean, Not durable
We had city tap water that tasted nasty. I think these filters took out a lot of the chemicals that gave the water a strange taste. When we sold our house, I recommended these filters to the new owners.
Pros: Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Easy to install
