We purchased this unit for our drinking water needs in a travel trailer. It does an excellent job of filtering out flavours and the piece of mind for pathogen removal. We have had in in use now for about 4 years and the number of bottled water bottles saved is amazing. We take them apart when the trailer is not in use to dry the filters out between trips and to eliminate the potential for having them become a science project.

Water tastes so much better than out of the tap. It even tastes better than bottled. It's also very convenient having it's own tap. We fill our own gallon jugs and keep them in the fridge. So we always have clean cold water.
