Was looking for a way to get bottled water without buying more plastic containers. Looked at cost per gallon and this comes out just below bottled water. The taste is better than bottled water and we can use as much as we want. We've only had the warning go off once since we've owned it and that was only a few days before the new filters arrived.

I am very happy with the kitchen filter and the shower filter that my family have been using for years. The filters are affordable. We have no problem with the taste (our 4-year old is happy :-). I use the filtered shower water to fill the bath tub for our daughter. We replace the filters every 6 months. I don't notice any difference with the shower filter regarding the flow after 5-6 months. However, the flow from the kitchen faucet slows down after 4-5 months but it's not too bad. It's still worth it.

I am disappointed with this product. The water does not taste good. The water from my old refrigerator tasted much much better than this. I cannot even drink this water and have to purchase filtered water. I use this for my pets and for cooking, but not for drinking.
