After several years as an Aquasana countertop filter user, I decided to get one for my in-laws, who have been using "charcoal filters" for their water. THEY LOVE IT! They feel the water is cleaner, and are thrilled to have a reverse-osmosis filter that gives them really, really clean water.

We need to filter our drinking water because of PFAS contamination, and I was sick of buying clean water in big plastic jugs. I decided on Aquasana because it has NSF certification for PFAS removal. I didn't want a whole-house filtering system, so I purchased the countertop dispenser and six clear glass Aquasana bottles to keep filled in the fridge. The machine was beautifully packed, the filter was easy to install, and everything was working within minutes of unpacking. The water tastes great. Also, the blue LED light on the machine is brilliant. It doesn't do anything, but it sparkles through the water when the machine is running, and for that minute or two, the light is both soothing and pretty. The machine is noisy for those two minutes, but that's it. I generally run it in the morning and do everything at once--fill water bottles for the fridge, make coffee, make ice, whatever. I actually enjoy using it, and I'm really glad I bought it. I hope it lasts forever.

I like the product, easy to install. Of course, the best thing is that you can enjoy contaminant free water for a decent price. The filters last a decent time for me (depends on the use)
The following are some suggestions to make it the best on the market -
I bought the pitcher as well hoping that I can easily switch between dispenser mode and pitcher mode. Well, it is not that easy, actually clumsy at best, during the process water will spill as well.
Also, my last unit, after about two years of use, started leaking from the bottom
The water tank does not sit firmly in the slot, I feel this is a design flaw
The following are some suggestions to make it the best on the market -

I was so very disappointed. My aquasana vibrated so bad and was so noisy that my next door condo neighbour could hear it from my kitchen. I just could not use it. The design and build of the unit did not apparently take into consideration the obnoxious noise and vibration. Very disappointing. I am buying a new unit from a different manufacturer.

Cons: Not durable

Very happy with the his filter. I bought this because my husband got a hernia and couldn’t lift jugs anymore and I was tired of buying gallon bottles and lugging them from the car and then dealing with all the empty bottles each week. I was impressed with the ratings and the specs.
The flavor and smell of the water is great which pleasantly surprised me because I am so picky with my water and have hated all other water filters I’ve tried in the past due to flavor and scent of the water. Even my cat is drinking more water now that we have this filter.
This pitcher size is good for 1-2 people but I would suggest the bigger dispenser for a larger family.

The filter works fine and the water tastes better and has less dissolved solids for sure, but the motor in the unit is very LOUD. In this day and age and don't see how it's not possible to make the motor more quiet. If it was quiet I would give it 4-5 stars for sure.

I have used Aquasana filters for years, under and on-counter, but I have a mixed review for this counter filter. It was easy to assemble, very easy to engage filter, and since it filters as it pours and has a large water container, I love that I don’t have to constantly be filling a pitcher and waiting for it to drain through before using.
On the other hand, it took me three containers of water running through the new filter to get the chlorine taste out. After that, there is some after-taste to the water but not bad. The big drawback for me is that it makes a really loud noise when dispensing. Loud enough you wouldn’t want to use it at night when anyone is sleeping, even in other rooms!
But I haven’t returned it because it’s just so convenient and I just live with the sound. I think Aquasana should warn purchasers in their advertising that it is noisy so a purchaser can make a better informed choice. I would recommend to a friend but with the noise caveat.

The Clean Water Machine with Dispenser turned out to be a great option for me. Yes it is a bit noisy but I like the great tasting water. I have a pull out spout in my kitchen so it is easy to fill the tank up. In the future I will probably switch to the under sink filter but for now the Clean Water Machine works great for my needs.
