I have been a Brita user for years. Yes this is way more expensive and noisy as heck, but boy do I love it! If you prefer to have a pitcher-based water filtration system this is the product for you. Easy to setup and use and I didn't have to hassle with attaching something to my faucet, though I hear Aquasana is easy to install. Love the taste: fresh and clean and no chlorine smell!

The water treatment in my area uses ammonia and chlorine which from what I have read is very difficult to get rid of. The most popular filters can not get the job done. We rent and so this was the best option for a system you can take with you. The only problem I have is after 4+ months of usage the system would kind of sputter on occasion. My guess is it was something to do with debris during filtration and so I tapped on the side of it and it seemed to work. My only concern now is durability. The filter is still good and so I will have to wait and see.
