I love the quality of the water when using Aquasana products. I previously had used the under the counter filter and really liked it, but I moved to a new house where the faucet does not allow me to install that model. I recently purchased the Dispense model for the convenience. I still very much enjoy the quality of water I get from Aquasana, but this model is very loud. I have resorted to filling a pitcher and placing it in the fridge and cannot run it during late or early hours out of fear that I will wake the other people in my house. I really hope they are able to fix this in future models, but I understand the difficulty given that this is powered therefore no waiting for water...you get clean water right away instead of waiting like a Brita. Overall, I am happy with my water filter.

this system is compact in size and fits really nice "out of the way" on my countertop. this is a portable unit for use anywhere and for areas where a "fixed" water filtration system is too expensive and/or too large to install or in condos, rentals etc. where you are not allowed to change the plumbing, this is the unit you can have because it is portable, requires no plumbing and you can take it with you when you move ! I fill AQUASANA glass bottles from my countertop dispenser for my fridge drinking water. also I use countertop dispenser water for taking my prescription pills and for all of my cooking water needs. THIS IS A REALLY GREAT WATER FILTRATION UNIT ! IT WORKED RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. I HAVE HAD ZERO LEAKS OR PROBLEMS.

It was very quick and easy to set up and start using, although I did think the dispenser worked similarly to the pitcher so I was a little confused at first. The dispenser filters the stored water on demand when the button is pushed rather than filtering the entire contents when filled. This is fine, the instructions were just a little confusing to me Also, people aren't kidding, it is VERY loud. It reminds me of the sound an air compressor makes, although not quite that bad- but close. We have learned to deal with it and find it a little funny now. But be prepared to explain the noise if you offer a glass of water to a guest :)

I like the product and it seems to be doing the job it was intended. However, I wasn't expected to have it be as LOUD as it is. When you dispense the water it vibrates the whole counter and has a loud almost grinding noise that is quite off-putting.
