So far I love this water filter system. I use it for all water we drink and cook with. I have noticed a big improvement in the taste of the coffee using the filtered water. It is very fast so even when I run out of filtered water I can have it ready again in less than a minute.

We use this in our motor home, I have a poor immune system due to cancer and on-going chemotherapy. Many RV parks are on wells and may have questionable water quality. This travels well and provides filtration of cysts and protozoans that can wreak havoc for me. Wish I could find better verification of aquasana's claims, but I believe it is better than a Brita, I would recommend it more highly if I could find independent verification.

This product delivers on quality - both on the unit itself and on the water filtration. The only drawback is that it is slightly noisy when filtering the water into a cup or container - doesn't bother me at all, but my musician wife, who is very sensitive to noise, doesn't like it. She wouldn't use it for a couple of days, but I've noticed recently that the water level in the tank is going down independently of my usage - so, she must have overcome her reticence :>)

For the past couple years, I have been distilling my water, making 3 to 4 gallons at a time. Although I didn't find the taste offensive, it was still an "odd" taste. But I could not take all the chlorine and other junk in my city water. When I got this filter system, I ran through a gallon to clear out the filter as it suggests when installing a new filter. I saved this gallon and ran it through my distiller (to save the water). I was totally amazed at how little residue was left in the distiller pot. Normal tap water ran through the distiller left a bunch of brownish gunk for each gallon I processed. Well, back to this Aquasana filter... I've been drinking water like crazy. I love the tall slender glass bottles they sent me and I keep a few in the frig all the time. It also makes great tasting soups, too. I regularly make chicken broth and wow... what a difference in flavor. I used to use my distilled water which made good tasting broth, but Aquasana water beats distilled hands down.
