Leaks but I figured out a fix (I think)

As others have reported, our unit leaks - from the top. I wrapped the cover's big O-ring with 3 layers of teflon tape and that seems to have stopped the leak. Other than that, product does what it's supposed to.
Just bought this filter 3 weeks ago. Pro’s: Easy to install and use. The water is crisp and delicious. Con’s: The filter periodically turns on by itself. Water may collect on top of the pitcher when filling it. These con’s are very minor.
Pros: No odor, Clean taste, Good Water Flow, Easy to install
I would recommend this to a friend!

Regret the investment

I ordered my first Clean Water Machine and ended up getting a second because the first one never turned on. After they sent the replacement, I got the second one to work just fine. Cool. Everyone has a dud every now and then and they were super about replacing the dud. Well, the second leaks. Like a sieve. It doesn't matter if we don't fill it to the top. It doesn't matter how many times I put the top back on the filter and apply pressure as I turn it into place. It leaks from the bottom, and the top of the filter lid! My counter is always wet... We have a dish towel under it that LITERALLY is soaked every day. It leaks that much. It's a waste, but it's also terrible for my counters, a mess, and so annoying to have to keep replacing a towel under it every single morning. The water tastes great but for the hassle, I'd suggest something else. The leaks are just not worth the headache EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Pros: Clean taste

Extreme Leaking

I've had aquasana water filtering system for 5+ years. First purchased on QVC. Was very pleased with unit. Have replaced a few times but recently the extreme leaking from the bottom which starts toward the back of machine is too much. I am in the water for life program and the recent machine sent is worse than the last. Giving up on this product and going back to bottled. It's a shame as this started out so well and was a great saver. Now the filters don't even hold up. At first mine would last at least 5 months now one filter barely holds up to 2 1/2 months. Getting more expensive and lasting less time plus poor machine performance. I used to recommend this product at first but now would advise not to purchase.
Pros: Easy to clean, Clean taste, Easy to install
Cons: Filters need replacing too often, Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It would be excellent but it took two replacements to get one that would even start.
Pros: Easy to clean, Clean taste, Long lasting filter
I bought this a few weeks ago. It is easy to put the filter in and very easy to use. The water tastes great too! I poured a glass of water directly from the tap and one from the Aquasana dispenser and I can see the water quality difference. I am so happy with this purchase. The only negative thing I can say is that the machine is a bit noisier than I expected when pouring. It is "on demand" water rather than a trickle like other filters so it does require a motor to function. Took us a couple days to get used to the sound but now we don't really even notice it.
I wanted a pitcher type of filter, so I have to put up with the large space it takes up on the counter. It is noisy, but I don't mind because it doesn't last long. However, sometimes it doesn't sense when to turn off and keeps on running every few seconds. I have to take the pitcher off the dock, taking up even more space on the counter. I found it a bit difficult to assemble and awkward to remove the pitcher. I hope the quality of the water is worth the inconvenience.
