Run the other way!

We bought the first water machine and after a couple of weeks it started turning purple and also flooding and overflowing from the bottom. Nothing would turn off the purple faulty code. Called aquasana and they told me they would send me a new system at no cost and to ditch the old one. Sent me a new one and no purple code this time but so much flooding shortly after using it. Did some googling and this seems to be a common problem with the system to the point where people advise putting a baking pan under the aquasana to catch the leaking water. Did that for many many months but it got to the point where it was leaking more than filtering. I was getting to the point where I would have to unplug the system for a week to let it dry out to allow it to function for a couple of days at a time. Now I have two pitchers and two machines to dismantle and find a way of disposing of. Not green at all and the whole process was so frustrating! Wish they made a better product even if it cost more. The system can’t seem to handle the amount of water it claims it can filter.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When I initially purchased it it worked flawlessly. But after 2 months it just stopped working. I called customer support and was sent a new filter lid. Oh, not once, but twice. The operation was/is erratic. Sometimes it worked then not. I would fill the pitcher and sometimes have to wait up to an hour before it filtered. The filter change reminder light never worked. So I replaced the filter anyway. Now with a new filter, the red light stays on. Is this how it's supposed to work? Also would go on when ever with no water in pitcher. I have read into this product and it is obvious this is a faulty design with no fix or competent solution in sight, and should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission.
Pros: Clean taste
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Aquasana Water Pitcher

I purchased the water pitcher almost a year ago. The problem I have is that it is hard to take off the base when it has finished filtrating. The water spills out from the top, making it hard to filter a whole pitcher. I would not recommend this product especially for people with arthritis of the hands.
Pros: Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Durable
Cons: Difficult to install

If you are someone, like myself, who drinks nothing BUT water., you KNOW the difference in taste between tap, bottled water from anywhere. I used to spend loads of money on the best bottled water, which for me, has always been Fiji & evian. (my daughters fabe as well). Since we've been using our Aquasana, we NO LONGER buy bottled water & save an astronomical amount of $$.
We went on a weeks vacation in August, & although I spent a lot of $$ on evian/fiji JUST to use the bottles to take with us. Once we drank all those bottles, we saved tgem/washed them & I filled about 25 bottles with my Aquasana water, as I REFUSED to have to buy trash bottled water while on vacation & I had 3 bottles left on the day we left. I had the BEST tasting water all that week, where we usually buy a case or so while there and I just have to deal with drinking the nasty bottled waters. NEVER again!!!! I have also bought 1- 6pk of small fiji waters so that I can wash & refill for my daughter to take to school.
When my 1st sytem had a leak issue, Aqusana was quick to replace it & went over & beyond!! They are wonderful & just as sweet & pleasant ss can be!! What a fabulous company, that helps deliver the BEST water I've EVER had on demand in my own home.
BTW, when I got all those bottles specifically for vacation, I got only a few at a time weeks/months prior. Lol
Thank you Aquasana for this fabulous product!!! I (nor my daughter) will EVER go without perfect tasting, clean water!!! I HIGHLY recommend Aquasana to everyone!!

This is my second unit. Needed to contact customer service immediately after my initial purchase because the unit leaked. This one leaks worse than the first, it that is even possible.

GREAT FILTRATION SYSTEM

We have had our unit for almost 2 years. I refuse to drink any of our water in our town without a good filtration system. This unit fits the bill. Very easy to change the filter and convenient to use.
