We bought the more expensive toaster for the perceived quality. All was well for a month+/- then a portion of the toaster was not toasting, no "juice" to the middle section of the right side resulting in only one side being toasted.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only mildly impressed. Handles square and round slices fine, but oval , oblong shapes require cutting in half, even if they are not big..The 'one slice " feature ??? still heats 2 full chambers. Advertising gimmick???? Actual toasting quality and control are great!

The exterior material between the toast slots became discolored after a short time and the general construction of the product feels cheap. It is not the same quality of Cuisinart from the past and is therefore overpriced

We really like toast. Toast is important. And we found that the toasting consistency wasn’t quite what we were looking for. The push for one slice button didn’t make sense because with one slice on it lit both sides anyway… The top got discolored pretty quickly. We took it back but got a toaster oven instead.

Great toaster. The only thing that I do not like is that the button to push down the bread has to be pushed hard enough to click into place. Sometimes I feel like I might break the button.

The one featured that was the deceive in my selecting this toaster doesn't work! This toaster has a button to allow one to select to toast just one piece bread. With out it when you press down the lever it turns on both burners in the two slots. You'd think selecting only one piece of bread to toast it would only turn on one just that one slot, right? No it doesn't do that, both slots burner go on? Tech support was no help.
