This toaster was expensive…
But,
I wanted something that wasn’t mostly plastic. This toaster was that. It’s all stainless steel. Exactly what I wanted. It’s working well, so far. There is a learning curve when using all the different settings, but the variety of toasting cycles is fantastic. It’s also more solidly built than other toasters I’ve owned. No regrets with this purchase.
But,

This was a replacement purchase for my old Cuisinart I was in love with over a decade. I liked how this resembled my old one, a retro stainless steel look. If it wasn't for its good functionality, I would give it a two-star. The housing gets too hot to the touch that I cannot put it up after use for awhile. The slide down lever do NOT catch - I always have to push down with more energy than should be necessary; almost always, a new user asks me "what's wrong with this?" then I have to instruct him/her to push down HARD.

This 4-slice toaster has many great features. The English muffin and waffle settings are extremely convenient in rendering a well toasted muffin and frozen waffle. The toaster's "toasting darkness" setting provides for a consistent shade of toasting. After a few trial & error toastings, exact settings can be consistently maintained for your preferred shade on each bread type of item. The removable crumb trays are conviently located in the rear of the toaster. One does needs to e mindful that the toaster's metal exterior surface does become quite warm/hot after toasting. Overall this toaster is a good value.

My second Cuisinart toaster. Similar, but this one is missing the timer readout and the levers are uneven both while and after toasting. Difficult to remove muffins and other smaller items. The selection dials are more difficult to adjust than were the buttons on my previous toaster. This new one seems lighter and less solidly made.

The toaster has many features, however, it does not toast evenly. The toast is significantly darker on one half of both sides of the bread in all 4 bread slots.

We absolutely love this toaster! The kids love it and want one of their own when they go away to college. :) It cooks evenly on either setting that is set and we have toasted just about everything from bread, bagels, bagel thins, English muffins to waffles. A great edition to our busy kitchen.
