We have had the toaster for about a month and have found it to be excellent, great controls and toasts very well. I would have given 5 stars except for the following which I consider to be deceptive advertising: I was disappointed because the package said it had a 'single slice toaster', a slot that was identified as the single slot to use and a button to push to provide the toasted single piece of bread. That was considered really important in the purchase because we often have only a single slice and I believed that only that slot was 'activated', being energy conscious. When I tried it, It turns out that the two slots on the right of the 4-slicer toaster both heated up as in normal toasting but, of course, one was empty. At first I thought it was defective, It was only when I read the instruction manual, only available after purchase when you open the package, that the 'single slice toaster' meant that it would provide even toasting on both sides of the single piece of bread. I had to read several times to fully understand the statement. I was totally underwhelmed and a little angry. I would have returned the toaster but that was more trouble than it was worth and it is a good 4- and 2-slice toaster and as far as I could tell, all sides of the toast were adequately toasted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very nice toaster, works as described. It may take 2 cycles to get very dark toast but the cycles are reasonably quick. Really like the defrost and waffle settings for frozen waffles.

I like everything about it except that it is too quite when it pops up after toasting! I am doing other things and it I don't look at the toaster I don't know that the toaster has finished toasting.

This is the 4th one after many warranty replacements, none is better than the previous one, i wish someone would listen to me when I say the filaments are not working properly light on one side dark on the other absolutely a nightmare. Warranty or not, I will no longer replace this product. I will move on to a better toaster.
