Settings don't toast as you would expect. Put English muffin setting on full blast....not even seared. Hard to extract muffin from toaster without burning hand. Really disappointing

This is the second Slice Custom Select Toaster I have had. I returned the first one because it did not heat in the middle sections. The one you sent me is dong the same thing and I am getting ready to buy a different toaster. I have many Cuisinart appliances in my home. The last Cuisinart toaster I had lasted almost 20 years and worked better the day it died than this one does brand new. Sorry for the lousy review but this model should be taken out of your line off other excellent appliances.

The bagel setting is helpful, the outer coils heat up to brown the “inside cut of the bagel without burning the outside.
It would be nice if there were a noise or some kind of indication that toast has popped up and stopped cooking.
