Doesn't come as marketed

It is not seasoned very well at all. I took their word for it and took it camping w/out putting time into seasoning it myself and immediately regretted it. I tried cooking some pancakes on it and they all stuck to the surface. VERY frustrating. I took to greasing it every single time I put a new batch on and had to work around the extreme hot spots. It did not even distribute the heat very well at all (to be fair, the camp stove I was using didn't seem to have any other temperature settings besides High and Inferno). While heating up this thing for the very first use one of the handles cracked - it sounded like a gunshot and scared everyone in the campsite! I've NEVER seen cast iron do that before. I'm taking this griddle back tomorrow and hopefully getting my money back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So unhappy with this griddle

This is my second griddle and I wish I still had my first. Not seasoned well at all, and impossible to clean. I'll be getting rid of this and buying a different manufacturers.

HORRIBLE HOT SPOTS

Constantly burning half of our food. A grilled cheese sandwich that's half black and half uncooked? How is that possible? Love our Calphalon stuff, but this one is virtually unusable.

Cannot be cleaned

I finished ribs with a carmel glaze on the ridged side, and now the sugar is permanently attached. No amount of scrubbing will get it off. Further, the ridges and the gutter are too narrow to hand wipe using a paper towel and salt. Yes, it rusts, but it's not advisable to get cast iron wet. I'm going to try blasting it in a self-cleaning oven and then attempt to re-season.

My griddle was waiting for me when I returned from vacation. All in all I love it. It does need a bit more seasoning so this won't stick.

Rusted after first use.

We received this item on our registry and after one use it has already started to rust. We followed the instructions on the product and still rusted. Also, I don't believe it came seasoned at all....extremely dissapointed as I was really looking forward to using this.

Certainly not simple or easy to clean

I was excited to get this as a Christmas gift.
Cooked one meal on it and the meat STUUUCK to the griddle.
Very difficult to clean. Its been sitting in my sink for 4 days!!!
By the way, it weighs a "ton"! Skip the gym, try cleaning this. Uggh
