We bought this entire set after 18 years of using older, cheaper pans and have had nothing but frustration using them. We take care of them exactly as instructed, yet EVERYTHING sticks and the pans won't come clean even with the Bar Keeper's Friend cleaner. I wish I would have read the reviews before wasting so much money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely terrible. DO NOT BUY.

We bought this set just 2 1/2 years ago. Within 3 months, some of the ceramic coating started to peel away. Everything sticks and burns to the bottom of the pans! There isn't an oil or nonstick spray in the world that can keep food from burning. We've had to throw 2 pans out already and the remaining pans are discolored and the ceramic coating continues to peel off daily. We use simple soft sponges and they've never been in the dishwasher, per Calphalon's instructions. I'm only buying Calphalon again because of the reviews on another set. I fell for this set because it was sleek and white. Never again will we buy ceramic! Absolutely awful.

What a disappointment

I bought these pans 2 1/2 years ago because I wanted the quality I had come to expect from Calphalon nonstick but had concerns about the chemicals in traditional nonstick, I was thrilled when I discovered the ceramic option ! I should have run for cover. They have been a nightmare of chipped interiors and discoloration... oh and stuck foods. For the first month or so I loved my pans. Then I started to notice chips along the top edge of the ceramic and inside where the gradient markings were. I thought it strange as they never went into the dishwasher, I only have nylon and wooden utensils and I do not store them stacked. The first pan I had to toss was the 1.5 qt sauce pan. I figured one of the kids must have used a teaspoon from the silverware drawer to stir when mom was at work because the ceramic started peeling away all along the bottom edge. The kids denied it vehemently but ... teenagers I thought. I wanted to buy a replacement but nope! You can’t get the 1.5 qt. Without buying a complete set. Then I noticed the frying pan and small sauté pan had places where food sticks - the same place - every time . When I looked closely after washing I could see differences in both the texture and color of the ceramic in what can only be considered “high traffic areas”. Needless to say all of the pans have developed similar issues and now I have the wonderful adventure of discoloring in the white ceramic coating which leaves freshly washed pans looking dirty . I am back on the hunt for new cookware - so much for the quality of Calphalon!

Nonstick to the max!

I received this set for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I currently own a set of non stick Calphalon cookware and was expecting the same quality. I was blown away by the non stick ness of these pots and pans! I HATE making eggs because the clean up is always terrible. I decided to make some eggs in my new ceramic non stick pans and OH MY GOODNESS! The eggs came out perfectly done and the mess was non existent! I have never been able to make an egg sunny side up before because I could never flip it without making a mess everywhere. I am now able to make amazing eggs! I cook daily and make all sorts of food. I have tried this with pasta sauce and let the residue sit over night expecting to have a hard mess to clean up. I was pleasantly surprised when all I needed to do was run the pot under hot water, rinse it out, put a touch of dish soap and water in the pot, rub it around with my hand or a wash cloth and the pot was perfectly clean!
All of the pots have easy to read measurements on the inside. This is super convenient and makes it so I don't have to use more dishes, which means less to clean. I LOVE the easy pour and strain feature. I can cook my pasta and strain it all in this pot. I LOVE this and think every pan should have this!
The handles on these do not get hot at all! I am very impressed with this feature. I have had other pots and pans that have handles that are not supposed to get hot, yet they do. I love that even on high heat these handles do not get hot.
I HATE hand washing anything. Seriously, I try to keep HAND WASH ONLY items out of my house. I was a little leery about these being hand wash only. I was very happy to find that these are super easy to wash. A little hot water unsticks anything that looks stuck and a tiny bit of dish soap along with my hand or a wash cloth cleans up everything!
I have cooked with oil, cheese, eggs, everything that is super sticky, hard to cook and hard to clean. I am happy to say this cookware set has surpassed my expectations! I would happily buy this and highly recommend this set to anyone and everyone!

A solid cookware set.

I first received a set of Calphalon’s Classic hard anodized cookware as a wedding gift and really liked the quality. They are heavy duty pots and pans that cook evenly, which is why I was eager to try out their new Ceramic line.
I’ve been avoiding traditional non-stick pans and wanted to find an option that was non-toxic and better for the environment so I’d been eyeing ceramic cookware for a while now.
I was especially curious as to how Calphalon’s Ceramic Cookware would perform when it came to two of the stickiest foods I cook regularly: eggs and fish.
So far this cookware set has been great; just the right weight, heats evenly, super easy to clean and food doesn’t stick. Eggs slide off the frying pans and fish lifts off the grill pan easily too.
The set has all the basic pieces you really need on an everyday basis: 2 different sized frying pans, a grill pan, a sauté pan, a couple saucepans and a Dutch oven. Unlike my old set the lids are glass so you can keep an eye on your food while it’s cooking, which I like. The handles are pretty easy to hold and maneuver around the stove and don’t get too hot, and unlike a lot of non-stick cookware, these can go in the oven too which is nice. Another nice feature is the pour spouts on the saucepans which help prevent spills while pouring out hot food.
Overall this set has been a welcome addition to my current cookware and I think I’ll be getting a lot of use out of it.

Heavy Duty and Easy to Clean

When I received these pans to test out, I had never used Calphalon or ceramic pans before so I was nervous and excited to try them out. I have always used non-stick pans and really liked the brand I had received as a wedding gift a few years ago. When I received the pan set, the first thing I did was wash them in warm soapy water. Then, I preheated them and cooked up some breakfast for dinner(scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast). I preheated the pan and cooked the eggs. Not one piece of egg stuck to the pan not even on the side! My overall favorite part of the pans are the handles that stay cool. I've made spaghetti and meatballs, beef stew, rice, and chicken stir fry in these pans, and they are so easy to clean. Another huge advantage is the lids with the built in holes for straining. That feature within itself makes it so easy to drain pasta. Overall this pan set is a win-win. Easy to clean, heavy duty, stay cool handles, and built in strainer lids on the larger pan really put this pan set over the top! I cannot wait to start adding to my collection

So easy to clean!

I received this set for a review (though all opinions are my own) and have been loving it! I was looking for an eco-friendly pan option that was still nonstick and these were perfect. I wasn't sure how the ceramic would work but it is really nice to cook on. Everything slides out of the pans easily and they are so easy to clean. I've been really impressed at how well the nonstick works in these and have found that I really like the bright white inside because it makes the food stand out so I can have a clear look at everything as it cooks. The pots have a small spout that makes it super easy to pour liquid out of. I'm sure I will be getting a lot of use out of these and I would definitely recommend them.

Best pots and pans I've ever owned!

I absolutely love these pots and pans. Absolutely nothing I've cooked in these has stuck and the array of sizes in the set is seriously perfect - from making a big pot of soup to frying up a few eggs. I also love that the lids have deep sides with a few holes, so when you're using a pot, the heat stays in, but the lid can be twisted to drain off water (for pasta or veggies etc.).
Also, I love the look of these - the sleek white on the inside looks great and the grey matches really any kitchen decor. This is my first time owning ceramic cookware and I have to say I do no think I'll go back. Nothing sticks (which means I can use less oil!) and they heat really evenly, which is really important to me. Also, I love that I can take the pan from stovetop to oven with no issues at all.
