Gorgeous workhorse cookware

I've owned several sets of cookware over the years, from the super cheap to pretty high-end and this is by far the best I've used. I received a free set of this cookware for review, but all the thoughts that follow are mine alone.
I'm really impressed that I can get a good sear on meats but it doesn't stick - it's usually hard to find a pan that does both! One of the first dishes I made with these, I was sure it would be a nightmare to clean off, and then when I rinsed it with water, everything washed right off. I didn't even have to scrub!
Not only are they great for cooking, but they have a lot of great design extras that make them a real pleasure to use, from the oven-safe design to the interior measurement marks (so you don't have to measure out the water or sauce separately!), spouts for easy pouring, and lids with straining holes. Sometimes I think, "Was this product even designed by someone who actually cooks?" but this set obviously was made by a team that understood how people really function in the kitchen. Bravo!
It also seems uncommon to get a set that has a small saucepan, and I'm so delighted that this one does. It's just so useful when you want to boil a couple of eggs or whip up a quick sauce or make a single serving of soup or pasta.
Just make sure you use non-metal utensils so you don't scratch the ceramic.

And, although this certainly isn't necessary, they are really beautiful. Food just looks gorgeous against that bright white surface.

So Disappointing!

We have had these pans for 3 years. At first I really liked them and they seemed to work great but as time has gone on they have fallen out of favor. They're definitely not non-stick after about a year and they become really hard to clean, especially the skillets. We've only ever used soft utensils and gentle cleaning products as recommended in the instructions but still this is what you end up with.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very disappointed...

So when my wife and I bought these last year as a Christmas gift to ourselves we were so excited! The cooking was even and nothing would stick, we just knew we had bought the right set, then all of a sudden the skillets started to stick, then became impossible to clean. We haven’t used the skillets in some time now due to we can not get them clean and we know it’s going to be 10 times harder to cook on them. We have always only used soft rubber spatulas and spoons as directed and always hand washed with soft lint free rag or sponge never anything abrasive. Disappointing because of the high hopes and first few cooks... also we have the black ones which I couldn’t find on here to review on but the paint started scratching off about a week in and we have glass top oven so I would think that would be the best to cook on to prevent scratches on the outside, guess I’m wrong. I definitely wouldn’t recommend.

So disappointed

This pans basically broke my heart. I was so excited to buy them. But most food sticks to them and they are generally impossible to clean. A couple pans also have small chips in them. I have white pans that will not come clean. It’s awful. I have followed ALL the manufactures directions for use and care. In fact, I’m the only one in the house who is permitted to clean them. I’ve had them for about a year and it’s getting worse. So disappointing. I had another set of calphalon for almost 25 years. I dontated them and bought this set. I regret it.

Disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this set for Christmas and have disappointed from the start.
Everything sticks and the coating has chipped away right away while using the lids.
I have had other pieces of Calphalon and never experienced this kind of wear while
using as directed. Will not buy again

Easy to clean, light weight and non-stick!

I have been looking for an alternative to my heavy cast iron and was anxious to try them out. These provided a much lighter cooking surface, plus they heat very quickly, but the handles stay cool on the stove top.
There are quite a few things I loved about this set, but the best part is that the extra features made for less cleanup. First off, they all have pour spouts which makes it easy to transfer contents without waste and spillage. The straining lids made draining water off pasta not only easy, but done with only one pot, instead of a strainer to clean after. Since each pot had measuring marks I didn't have to pull out the measuring cups.
I have been using these daily for over a month and while they are non-stick, they aren't your traditional non-stick, so know they will function a little differently. I still use a little oil, and food doesn't always "slide" off, but it definitely doesn't stick like stainless steel and clean up is a breeze. I used to dread making eggs because the clean up was such a pain, but now we are back to making them every morning!
A bonus in my opinion is that they look very nice too! The white and gray is a great clean look for every day.
*Note: Be sure to read the care instructions to give these a longer life, by not using metal utensils.

This set was purchased and given to me as a gift, and I am EXTREMELY pleased with it! This is my first ceramic cookware set, and I absolutely love it!! Everything is very well made and insanely easy to clean. I look forward to cooking now more than I did before, all thanks to this cook set!

I love the product but I may have gotten a bad set

I received this set for Christmas. When I was doing a peruse wash I noticed a small spot on one of the pots as if the ceremic is chipping off. I have never put them in the dishwasher or used hard utensils (I.e. forks or spoons). Now after using them for a month, more is chipping off of the pots. It's weird because it is only on the pots not the pans. I really like this product, so I will exchange them. Hopefully the next set is in a better condition. The nonstick coating is like nothing I have ever seen...it's magic.
I would recommend this to a friend!
