My wife and I purchased our 1st set of Calphalon over 20 years ago and it is still going strong. I was given a choice at work of several items as a prize and I decided to go with the 11 Piece Classic Nonstick Ceramic set. I noticed when we received them there was some chipping around on the edges on a couple of the pans that had lids well it has gotten worse on those pans and others have started to chip as well, we broke out one of the pans for the first time a week ago and noticed it is warped so it doesn't lie flat on the stove top. I am very disappointed to say the least in the lack of quality. I have been reading reviews today on this set and wish I would have done that before I opted for this set as it appears these issues are not mine alone, I thought it would be the same old quality product as we had been using for over two decades....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not a good set

I have had my set for a little over a year now and I absolutely hate them. Everything I cook in them sticks. I have only used plastic wear or wooden utensils in them, always washed by hand with a wash rag. I would not recommend this set to anyone. . . unless all they want is the lids which are the only plus about this set.

Food sticks

Bought the 8 in fry pan a year ago and was thrilled that everything I cooked just glided out of the pan. However after about 9 months things began to stick in the middle and with more use the area expanded to the entire bottom cooking surface. I've always washed by hand in warm water (don't have a dishwasher) and use a rubber spatula as instructed. Real disappointment. Can not even attempt eggs.

I purchased this set last year. Within a few weeks of using it, I noticed that the ceramic was chipped. I purposely bought new rubber/silicone utensils so that I wouldn't scratch them. Just putting the lids on them will scratch the top part of the pan and will chip the white. I've cooked eggs in the frying pans and they always stick. I've tried using butter and oil. I thought the ceramic would help to make it more nonstick. The white ceramic easily discolors - especially after frying meat, like sausages or hamburgers. I can't seem to get them clean. I have never put them in my dishwasher, as per the cleaning instructions. If you are considering buying this set, I would tell you to just go with the regular Calphalon Classic Nonstick (not the ceramic). I have bought a few of those pans and I love them. I wish I hadn't spent the extra money on these ceramic ones and had bought the regular nonstick version in a set instead.

Very Disappointed

I LOVED these at first. However, I have had them for a little over a year and they have not held up at all! I have been extremely careful with them (only hand washing, using silicone spatulas, placing dividers between pans when storing, etc.), but they chip insanely easily. After only a year, everything sticks to them and they are impossible to clean. Wish I had gone with the regular nonstick...

At first these were the best pots and pans we were so excited when we received them for a wedding gift about 6 months ago. We are extremely careful with the pots and pans I even have an organizer. We hand wash only and only use silicone on them and the bottom on them is all chipped up.

I've had this set for just over a year and I've had to send two pans back because of them chipping and the "nonstick" layer coming off. We are very careful with them. We hand wash only, use silicone utensils, have pan protectors while stored in the cabinets, etc. I do not recommend these at all.

So Disappointing

We received these pans as a wedding gift from our wedding registry two years ago, though putting these on our registry ended up being a HUGE mistake. Despite being so careful with these and all following instructions, the white coating began chipping right away and has continued. For all we know this could be incredibly toxic. Not to mention, everything sticks and they look permanently dirty. The quality is just terrible. Wish we would have gotten stainless steel pans, as the amount of non-stick (none) would be the same, but we wouldn’t be worried about eating chipped off ceramic everytime we use them and would feel much better about the health and longevity of the pans....
