good but not good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this set in March after a month of researching cookware sets. My previous cookware set was "The Pioneer Woman" nonstick set. I lasted 3 or 4 years. I was thoroughly impressed with the Calaphon set when it arrived at my home. Unfortunately, the large skillet without a lid started showing scratches around the 3rd month of use. I use this skillet for fixing breakfast mainly. I hand wash all cookware as I feel it should not be put in the dishwasher, thats just my preference. I use all nylon or wooden utensils. I contacted Calaphon and was sent a new skillet. It was very easy to file for a replacement. It is right at the 6th month mark and the skillet that has a lid, is showing scratches now so I am going to put in for another replacement. I truly love this cookware set but for the price, I feel heartbroken that I am having this much trouble. The skillet I am getting ready to ask for a replacement, I havent used 15-20 times as I do alot of grilling. When I have used the skillet, it was to brown ground beef for spaghetti or that type of meal. As stated, I truly love the pots and pans but expected a better quality as I could have purchased another set of The Pioneer Woman for over half of the price I gave for the Calaphon set.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

There are several factors to look at that may have caused of what causes the problem. Still, Calphalon will replace any item found defective in material or workmanship when put to normal household use and cared for as per the instructions.

We found it sturdy, matching and we love the non stick feature as well as dishwasher safe. The only thing that we are sorry about is it took so long to buy it. We highly recommend any Calphalon product.

I’m not a huge review person— but I bought Calphalon pans when we first moved into our home about five years ago. I wanted a well-trusted brand and Calphalon seemed it! I dealt with a few issues over the years and their customer room care of EVERYTHING no problem. Their good brand and amazing customer service team is why I expanded from pans to bakeware to a knife set, and why I’ve bought the same products for my mother. You have to be very careful with the non-stick as I’ve had it come up on multiple pans which is why this is not a 5-star review. Overall, kudos Calphalon! Thank you!

My last set of new pans was by Emeril. While they are nice, they are not non-stick, so I'm really enjoying these brand new non-stick pans. Well made, and the lids are very nice as well. Love the steam holes in the rim of the lid to avoid boil-overs.

This is my 2nd set of Calphalon cook ware. The new materials and hard anodize is great.
But the handle design on the lids needs to be looked at as the lid handle gets hot on any cooking temperature over medium.
