poor quality control?

pros - nice heat distribution. visually appealing. 12" is a bit small for a stir fry meal for two, 14" is a lot better. reasonable price.
con - very small black specks are appearing at the bottom of the pot. they look like pits due to a "spray on" or a "spun on" stainless interior wearing off, and exposing the sandwich metal (aluminum?, doubt it, i've never seen aluminum with black corrosion). your q and a answer comes to mind - "depending on when your item was produced, it could contain 18/10 material". i would prefer you say your pots are 18/10 ss, and you have better quality control of your manufacturers.

Not for stir fry

I have used this wok 3 times now. Each time I coated the interior with olive oil to prevent sticking, used a medium heat, and every single time the food stuck to the interior and then began browning the surface and even smoking a little. The only thing that seems to be helpful at all is adding water/liquid to dislodge the food as soon as it starts sticking. So if you're cooking things in it that have a lot of sauce, such as curries, you wouldn't have a problem. But if you want to do a classic East Asian stir fry, a fried rice, or any stir-fried noodle dishes (as the name of the product and the description indicate you should be able to do), your ingredients will stick and it will be very difficult to clean out your wok if in fact you can even get it clean at all. This is a wok for sauces, NOT for stir fry. I am incredibly disappointed because I have loved my stainless steal soup pot, but upon reflection I have the same issue when I saute garlic or onions to start a soup. If you want to stir fry, stainless steal is not the surface. It will stick.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this Pan!

This is a very versatile stir fry pan. I use it for all kinds of recipes, from stir fry to spaghetti sauce. Could be a little easier to clean but love the pan.

Tough clean-up

After 1st stir fry use, this wok cannot be cleaned. I have soaked in hot sudsy water and even used brillo pad which improves it, but lots of burned in grease.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
