Horrible Lid Design

its a wok,it works like other woks. the flat bottom may or may not be an advantage. Traditional woks do not have flat bottom. But the reason for the 1 Star rating is the glass lid with metal trim.... water and grease / fat that has splattered onto the glass lid will tend to flow and seep into the seams of the trim, no way to clean it out! and when heated up duing use, all that nasty grease and old liquids will flow back out and onto your food inside the wok... Just Horrible!!!! Defect in design for sure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Stir Fry Pan

I bought this stir fry pan last year and have made a number of stir fries in it. It is also great to use when making fried rice. The size of the pan is ample and the heat distribution is very even. I have an induction cooktop and it works really well.

I have used other wok/stir fry pans before that in no way compare to this one. It heats so evenly and stir fries meats and vegetables perfectly!

Best wok out there!

I bought this wok, because I wanted to cook a lot more stir fry in my house! I really wanted a lid, and this was one of the only woks that had a lid. It cooks so great! My wife loves using the wok, because she doesn't spill any food out of it when she cooks. Make sure you use enough oil, because it will stick if not. We love to use peanut oil with our stir fry. It smells so great while we are cooking! Have fun cooking up some stir fry!

Calphalon Stainless 12 in. Stir Fry Pan

My order arrived quicky and was well packaged. I have 2 other Calphalon pans that are nonstick which I have used quite a lot, so I was comfortable with purchasing it online sight unseen. My only disappointment when I received this pan was that the craftsmanship is not as good with some scratches and surface imperfections left in the pan. Since it works very well with heat distribution, and food doesn't seem to stick, I can easily live with the minor flaws. The glass lid is great to keep an eye on the food as it cooks. It's definitely a good value for the price and I look forward to many stir fry meals made in it.

best wok ever

I just got this wok today. I love to cook stir fry vegetables. Over the years I spent a lot of mony buying woks. A coworker recommended for to me buy a calphalon. By far its the best. Im not disappointed at all.

Overall an excellent wok

Its been a month of using this product and i love it!! It heats up evenly and can be filled up with a lot of veggies and noodles and lot of room to move around. You can easily cook for 4 people in this. I was tired of black non-stick woks that gets scratched easily and doesnt last longer so this try-ply stainless steel seems great and durable!

This pan is so easy to cook with, far superior to what I was using and cleans easily too. The lid is very handy as well. Definitely recommend this wok.
