Love them!

I am a beginner cook and always wondered if better quality equipment would make it easier and yes it sure does. I have been using these pans for a couple months now and have made some delicious meals! They are comfortable to handle also.
I would recommend this to a friend!

good pans for moderate use

This 2 pan set plus an 8" pan had been staples and great additions to my array of cookware, including brands: le creuset cast iron and cuisinart stainless steel.
After 3.5 years I noticed scratches and chips in all three pans. Customer service requested photos and a brief questionnaire be completed. They promptly reviewed and replaced damaged pans. The best lifetime warranty of any cooking utensil.
Please note, I rated good, compared to my other pans, which I've been using for over 40 years!

Problem with outside of frying pans

Purchased this combination fry pans recently and just noticed a chalky residue on the outside of the frying pans.. When I tried to wipe it off, grey chalk-like particles came off on my hands and on the paper towels I used to wipe them off. After washing them in soapy water, I found the darker grey color that was on the frying pans when I purchased them was gone and in its place it was just silvery. What caused this to happen? Using them to fry food has been wonderful otherwise. I am unsure whether we can continue to use them as is.

Disappointed in quality

These pans are a great size and weight, but the non-stick surface does not hold up to daily use. We bought a set right after Thanksgiving 2013 and by New Years there were spots where the nonstick surface was pealing away. We hand wash, use silicone turners and never cook on high heat. Not at all the quality I've been used to with other Calphalon products. Buy the higher grade pans.

I purchased this set 3 years ago. Within a year, the non-stick surface was defective on one of the pans. I returned it to the store at which I purchased it and received another one in exchange. Now, within two years, both pans are similarly defective. I've had better luck with cheap non-stick pans from a discount store than with "Calphalon". I probably will not purchase Calphalon products in the future. It's a real hassle, not to mention the cost of postage, to have to return products for refunds.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
