Have to Hide Them!

I love these pans--even heating, just the right size for my day-to-day cooking, and sooo easy to clean. My only problem is that my husband (who has his own, scarred once-nonstick pans) has been caught using these with stainless steel kitchen tools, rather that the ones recommended and close at hand. So, I hid them and only bring them out on my nights to cook--works for me :)

Exterior finish is chipping off

In the past six months I have noticed that the exterior finish is wearing off and showing the silver layer. The chipping is causing a very rough surface and I no longer want to use on my smooth top range since it may cause damage to the range top. Both pans are chipping. I really like these pans but don't understand why they started to do this. This is my second set. I gave the first set to a relative and they are still using with no problem.

I have owned many so called nonstick pans in my life. I purchased two Calphalon nonstick grill pans 20 years ago and just retired them in the last two weeks. I recently purchased two to replace those and sautéed some peppers and onions and they came out perfect and the pan almost rinsed clean. I let is soak for 15 minutes in hot water and the rest of the difficult burned on stuff wiped right off. These are the BEST nonstick pans EVER. Also, you can see the quality of these pans. I also purchased a dual burner pan and a flat pan for Grilled cheese sandwiches, pancakes etc. and the sandwiches came out perfect. These pans also maintain a perfect equal cooking temperature that is key to cooking things right and making them taste delicius. Thank Calphalon for making great quality products for the home chef!!!!

Calphalon Contemporary Stick

I purchased this the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10-in. & 12-in. Fry Pan Set about less than a year ago and have only used it a few of times. After only a couple of uses the pan started to stick. I followed all the directions of how to care of the pans but it wasn't any used. I can't even fry an egg on the pans as it sticks completely. I now have to use a Wal-Mart Brand non stick pan ($11) just to fry an egg. There isn't even a point of keeping it. Waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Short Life

For the price the product should last for more than a few times. It was amazing at first but I cook egg whites every morning and after a few weeks the pan started to stick. Never buy again! So disappointing!

They stand by their lifetime warranty!

Our 12" fry pan was beginning to show wear in the middle area of the pan and the non-stick surface was not what it used to be. Granted, this pan was about 6 or 7 years old, but hey, I thought I would see if Calphalon would honor their lifetime warranty. Well, I'm here to verify they DO stand by their product warranty as we just received a replacement pan today. We are definitely going to continue being Calphalon users! Absolutely recommend this company for a wonderful product and great customer service.

I bought 2 frying pans about a year ago and I love them. The non stick is great and is holding up great. It is a solid a well built pan. I love using them and no matter what happened in them the cleaned up well. They still look new.

Cooking with Grape Seed Oil ruined the surface

We bought a set of frying pans feeling really good about the research we put into it. I started frying with grape seed oil, and it ruined the non-stick surface. We need to throw it out. :O(
