Good Basic Fryers!

I bought this duo, in April 2015. I will admit I was a little leery since my last purchase of Cooking With Calphalon set didn't last very long (3 - 4 years). I had been looking for a new pair of fryers and decided to try these.
I will tell you I am pleasantly surprised and very happy with this purchase. While they did not come with covers, the covers from my previous set fit these. The pans are a pleasure to work with, they clean easily and I really love them. They do not need added butter or oil, but I find that eggs (over easy) not cooked with a little butter/oil, tend to brown and get a tough/chewy layer.
I prefer the 10 and 12 inch pans, as they are never too large or small, but are perfect sizes to do many things.
I'll come back to review this review, in a couple of years to let you know how well these pan's non stick surface held up. Just know, I never put my pans in the dishwasher. I always use nonstick cooking utensils when using these pans and I follow the instructions, if any, that come with the product.

Not good for smooth top ranges

When I first purchased these pans they were great. I really liked the look and feel of them. I like the 10" & 12" sizes and the lids from my other Calphalon pans fit, so they complemented the rest of my cookware. I always pre-heated the pans as recommended and never used metal utensils. Over time the pans started to warp. Because a smooth top range requires the pan to contact the glass the heat wouldn't transfer to the pan as well as it should. They became frustrating to use and would rotate on the glass top easily so you had to make sure you had a good grip on the handle. I never had a problem with the non stick surface though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing

This is my 2nd set of Calphlons and I love the look and feel of this contemporary set but the quality was disappointing. They were great for the first 6 months but the non stick surface started to pit and peel soon after on the heavier use pans. The 8 and 10 inch frying pans as well as the 2 1/2 quart sauce pan seemed to breakdown the quickest. Have loved
the Calphlon products but undecided if I will purchased another set or try a different brand...

Great Size Pans that are TRULY Non-stick!

I just love these pans. They are great pans for an amazing price, and the 10" and 12" in sizes make them the perfect pans for my family. We have cooked everything from hamburger helper, steak and eggs on these and they have cooked evenly and thoroughly. They are a true non stick pan! Calphalon is my go to kitchenware brand now, because every single item I have received is amazing. These pans are a really nice, heavy pan which perform their job beautifully. The non-stick surface has been truly that, and the finish has not worn away. As long as you take care of this brand, they will last many, many years! While I received this product for free, the opinions and thoughts included in this review are my own.
