My First Calphalon Pans

My first, but definitely not my last. I needed a nonstick pan, and my husband found these at a great price. I got all kinds of excited, because I'd heard about Calphalon from friends, but had never tried it. The pans are very well made and easy to clean. They're not merely utilitarian, they are beautiful, as well. Ordering the lids tomorrow.

The Holy Grail of Saute Pans

You can saute on low with even heat OR get a great sear...It does everything you always wanted a non stick pan to do but couldn't get till now. The higher sides reduce splatter and they are stylish enough to serve from. The glass lid provides a firm seal while you keep an eye on the cooking progress. What more can you want???

Well worth the money spent

I have been cooking with Calphalon cookware for years now, I was using what ever pot or pan was on sale until I got my first Calphalon Pan and that was the end of the Other pans. I have been able to replace almost all of my pots and pans with Calphalon cookware and the consistency of heating and food not sticking to the cookware is second to none. Great products and will last a lifetime if you take care of them.

I had the non-dishwasher safe version of this fry pan set, which I sold 2 years ago after using them for 3 years (when we lived in Bermuda). Now in Cali, it was time to buy them again after going through 2 non-stick frying pan (not Calphalon) in the past 7 months...except, I put my 10 inch in the dishwasher and didn't notice that a pair of chopsticks were stuck at the bottom of the dishwasher, which scratched up (deep scratches) my fry pan...feel soooo stupid as it's only a month old! Will need replace it ASAP! Love Calphalon frying pans, everyone should have one (or two or three) in their kitchen!!!

I bought the calphalon pans as a gift for a friend. When they came, I noticed there were little bumps or bubbles on the bottom of the smaller pan, not in a uniform pattern, but like it was defective. Also, the cardboard packaging was ripped in two so that the pans were hitting each other. I would have sent them back but it was too close to my friend's birthday to replace them. When he opened them I pointed out the problems, but he declined to exchange them. Having said that, he seems pleased with them and uses them daily.

Good pans

We like the new pans. The packing for shipment was not very good. The rivets for the handles are very secure but food definitely sticks to them.

bottom has warped

I have been quite happy with this purchase for the nonstick aspect. They do this job very well. But recently, the larger one, which we use more often, has warped on the bottom, and doesn't sit flat on our cooktop anymore. This doesn't seem to affect how it cooks, but I am disappointed this happened to yet another frying pan of mine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
