Lid developed rust from water getting trapped

I have had this pot for 3 years. I have always taken great care of the pot and always hand washed it, however, water gets trapped inside the rim of the glass cover causing rust to develop. Water gets trapped between the stainless steel rim and glass. I purchased a replacement lid, and water is still getting trapped inside the rim of the cover on my replacement lid. This seems to be a design flaw with the lid design.

Hard to clean

I've had this product for six months now and have never had an easy time cleaning it. No, our water is not excessively hard to cause residue to form on the sides of the pot. At least, that never happened with the much cheaper "Teflon" pots I used before. I had to get special instructions on how to clean the pot from the manufacturer and that's the only way I can get it clean. This is not a good product.

Excellent Size Sauce Pan

I have been using this size pot for a while and have found it incredibly useful. I can boil rice, pasta, veggies and so much more. What's so great is the strainer on the lid and pour out spout. These features make the pan so easy to use. It has all the functionality of Calphalon's anodized cookware with these additional functions of use. It is also easy to clean if using the right technique. Wash in warm water and mild dishwashing detergent immediately after use. I rate this one a plus plus!

I have had this pot for a year now and absolutely love it! The 3.5 qt capacity if perfect for making soups, and the spout is great for pouring. I have never had to use the lid to strain, so I cannot comment on that. I would recommend this sauce pan to add to anybody's cooking arsenal.

I've used this 3.5 qt saucepan for 2 weeks now and love the size, ability to drain through the lid and the handle has a nice feel and appearance. This size saucepan is the perfect size for pasta, potatoes or family-sized batch of chili. The 3.5 qt is a nice complement to the 2.5 qt. I highly recommend this sauce pan .... order it soon and enjoy!
