I use this for making pasta and I love it. It cleans up so easy with soap and water. Have used for over a year and looks as good as the day I got it. A staple in my kitchen.

Wish Pour and Strain was on all sauce pans!

Got this after our wedding and it is my favorite sauce pan to use. Even though we have all sizes (1.5, 2qt, etc), I find myself using this one no matter how small the job because the pour and strain is just so nice and easy. I wish this feature was incorporated into all the Contemporary pots. This and the others have all held up well and I always handwash them gently.

I adore this sauce pan! Simply cannot imagine what I did before I had a pot with the pour-and-strain feature. What's not to love; the easy care, the depth of the glass lid, the ease of use for veggies and pasta! It's just the right size to make it absolutely essential in my kitchen.

After being a chef for many years it was time to replace my pans. Calphalon makes a great product. I have almost completed my new set. Heats evenly and easy to clean.

I received this item free to test but that will not influence my opinion of this . I owned a similar pot by Calphalon for the past 13 yrs. yes---13 years & it looks like new. So I was so excited to get another one. Calphalon quality cannot be beat. Durable and logically designed. The glass lid on this pan is amazing. you can drain from either side of the pan because the lid had drain holes on both sides. Brilliant idea for left handed cooks. This pan is tall making it perfect for pasta or potatoes. No boiling over. I just love everything about Calphalon cookware. 3.5qt pans are my favorite size and they are difficult to find. I hate that this pan is no longer available because it a dream come true for me. I have used it for about 10 days and it is my favorite pan. I was hoping to come to this site and buy another one. The 13 yr old one I have didn't come with a lid, but it still had the nice pour spouts. So trust me---take care of your Calphalon pans and they will last. I usually wash by hand, but i have placed it in the dishwasher a few times. I just think it has lasted so long because I hand wash it. Buy Calphon products. They are worth every penny,

My favorite pot!!

I absolutely LOVE this sauce pan!! It is the perfect size for most of my cooking needs. Love the strain feature!! Clean up is a breeze! The strain feature also allows just enough gap to keep your pot from boiling over and making a mess. My only complaint is that it can be a little hard to handle when straining due to the size of the handle and the weight of the pot. This pan is a WIN and I intend to purchase a second one before too long.

My favorite pot!

I've had this pot for a few years now. Although some of the non-stick has started to wear off, it's still my favorite pot. Even dried grits will slide right out. If you cook grits, you know how awesome that is. I wish there were more sizes offered in the Contemporary Nonstick family with the pour and strain features.
