Sturdy, even cooking

The Calphalon covered fry pan is a large well designed pan. The depth and size is perfect for a family-sized sauce, chili, or one dish meal. The bonus is that it can go from the stove top into the oven to brown or finish crisping...I love it!

I Love It. Use it twice so far. From stove top into the oven. Looking at it, thought I was in trouble for clean up. Cleaned up great, couldn't have asked for a better pan.

Great Pan for EVERYTHING

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pan. It is nice and big and I not only can fry things but it is big enough to make large amounts of soups in too. You only need one pan for everything. Brown, add liquid, cover and simmer. The glass lid makes it so easy to keep an eye on amount of liquid. To think I was questioning whether to buy it or not. I am so glad I did.

Was really afraid of spending this much for a pan, really. But, I'll be dang, it's a good pan, really good. We use it for a variety of things from frying chicken to boiling potatoes to making complete dinners. Considering the fact that we threw away a pan about once a year, we actually will end up saving money on this.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the most versatile piece I have in my kitchen. I do even bother with normal frying pans anymore. It makes wicked catalan style mushrooms as well as grilled panini for the kids. I would be lost without it.

I have had this pan for about a month and think I have used it almost every night. It is large and deep enough for frying chicken, making a batch of spagetti sauce or slow cooking a small roast or beef ribs. The finish is awesome, comes from the dish washer looking like new. what a time saver - no handwashing
