Great Experience - Except for one thing

I have used this oven for over two years and am quite satisfied with its features and performance. I purchased this model because it has six gas burners on a standard-sized cooktop (rather than four normal burners and one of those long burners in the center that I would never use). One thing, however, has bothered me since the beginning: the touch pad is too sensitive. I repeatedly change settings when a towel simply brushes against it. The other day, a small splash of water from my hand as I reached for a dish towel turned off the timer. If I lock the controls, it turns off the oven, so that is only a useful solution if the oven is not being used. I like to hang towels on the oven door handle, but the excessive sensitivity of the touch pad makes that difficult.

Beautiful range with nice features

Installed this range two days ago and we love the look and features. Haven't used the oven or warming drawer yet. We had to wait ten months to receive it from the order date.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product, love the warming drawer! Also, really like the sliding rack in the oven for large items I will be roasting Iike a turkey.

Love the Range

Had to wait more than 7 months for the range due the pandemic. Was worth wait. We love range. Having 6 burners with several heat ranges is ideal. Purchased the griddle as well, haven't quite figured out how to effectively use this yet. The warming drawer is easy to use, we mostly use the low setting. Control panel is intuitive, very easy to use with little reference to the instructions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Range looks amazing. We replaced this GE Cafe with one we've had for the past 15 years. Already knew we were getting a great product. But, this one is sleek looking. With the 6 burners, it's got this amazing professional look and feel!!

I've owned this range 1.5 years. We added the copper dials and door pulls. Looks beautiful. Works well. Love having 6 burners and middle griddle option.
I have 3 problems with it:
1. When burners are on low, they can be missed when the pot is removed. The flame "hides" under the overhang of the black plate covering the burner. There are no indicator lights near the dials to alert you that the flame is still on. This is a real fire/safety hazard.
2. Surface scratches easily.
3. Can be difficult to clean.
The oven is wonderful!

Doesn't Compare Well with Previous Café Range

This replaced our first Café dual fuel range that had only 1 issue in 12 years. The large right front burner went bad and GE "discontinued" that gas valve part. Inability to repair meant we we had to replace the entire range. That range was in great shape and we should not have had to replace it. We loved and used the griddle of our last range often, which is why we decided to get a new Café, which also provided a griddle. The new range is just OK, except for the griddle, which has an odd, rough texture unsuitable for cooking and weighs more than 13 pounds--the old griddle weighed just 5 pounds! Older or fragile people will not even be able to lift or carry it and this griddle is so heavy it can easily break or scratch any sink when cleaning it. Lifting it into and out of storage is so difficult that we can't use this feature at all. This griddle is a sad joke! The other issue is the oven makes a series of loud, startling bang/thump noises when it is heating up. The noise is still happening after regular use over two months. This company seems to not have designers/engineers that actually use the products or a reliable replacement parts system. In the sustainability mindset of our world, repair, not replace, should be the model. Shame on GE!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
