Perfect Range

I purchased this range in black stainless after three years of living in a home with a mid-90’s model electric stove, and it’s a life-changer. I cook all the time, and this dual-fuel model has exceeded my expectations. The heat range of the burners is perfect, the touch display easy to use, and all six burners have proved to be super useful. I love how the display clutter disappears when the range is not in use. The oven has produced great results every time this holiday season. My one complaint is that there is a gasket-sealed seam along the top front of the stove, directly above the dials. This front piece should have been designed to be all one piece, so crumbs and juices wouldn’t get caught along this seam. Overall, I am extremely happy with the quality, beauty, and utility of this stove, and would recommend it to anyone who cares about aesthetics, function, and value.

Wonderful choice!

I bought this 2 months ago and have been extremely happy with it. I had read mixed reviews on using a gas oven, so settled for this combo. It has worked perfectly over the holidays with plenty of stove-top cooking, baking and roasting. The range top is so easy to clean - much better than the glass top I had before. The built-in thermometer has also been great for roasting. This has been my first gas range top so I am still getting used to using the right-sized pots on the appropriate burners, but I am figuring it out. Highly recommend this range!

Perfect balance of features

This was one of a few 30" ranges that we found to have 6 burners. We opted for the dual fuel option. The convection and normal oven cook modes work very well. The oven heats up quickly, appears to be well insulated, and bakes/roasts well. The included cooking probe works well for roasts. The cast iron grates and griddle clean up easily, as does the stainless steel catch basin around the burners. The burners ignite easily and good low temperature control is possible with the simmer and two ring burners. Our burners are propane, and I feel like the boil time on the power boil burners is longer than what we had with our prior GE smooth top electric range.
I have two minor complaints/observations. First, the rubber pads that the grates/griddle rest on are attached to the range rather than the removable cast iron pieces. As a result, when reinstalling the griddle/grates it is very easy for them to come into contact with the stainless surfaces surrounding the cook top, resulting in scratches. Placing the rubber stops on the bottom of the cast iron pieces might reduce the risk of scratches. Second, the touch screen is a nice feature that has a sleep mode when not in use. It comes out of sleep mode when touched or when one of the burner knobs is turned. On one occasion, it did not go into sleep mode between oven uses. We could not determine if it was because one of the switches in a knob was stuck or if the touch screen had something on it that made it think it was being touched/used. We've had the unit for 5 weeks and this has happened once, so it remains to be seen if this is a recurring issue.

I have had my new range for a month now. I use my new Cafe duel fuel range everyday. I love to cook and bake, so this is perfect. This range has the best controls I have ever had. I have seven brands of ranges in the kitchens I've had. This one is the absolute best one ever! The knobs accurately control the height of the gas flame...no more guessing how hot the flame will be. You can leave a pot of soup on the stove on warm, for hours, or you can boil water in a flash from the same burner. The electric oven bakes beautifully, no hot spots or uneven baking. Cakes turn out with a perfect top...a sign of an even temperature. I also love the griddle that comes with the range. Its very heavy cast iron, but easy to use. It's great for grilling steaks indoors, or pancakes and grilled cheese....again, no hot spots. The design of the keypad is easy to use and stays clean because its on the front of the range , not on the top. The top grates are perfectly aligned so that you can slide a large pot over to another burner without having to pick the pot up. This appliance has been well thought out, easy to control the heat both in the oven and stove top. If you like to cook, this is the one to buy. The dual fuel is perfect!

This is a luxury range without the price. Amazing quality and comparable to a wolf. We just moved into a new property that came with an electric stove. After a few months, we made the choice to switch to a gas top and we are soo so happy! I researched for months and the specifications of the Cafe are perfect.
