the SecureTech lock doesn't work, it doesn't open easily

Poor design and/or instructions

This gate only works if you manage to get everything perfectly aligned. Following the instructions results in a latch that will not open or will not lock. Unbelievably frustrating. We'll be taking ours back and getting something that operates properly.

Very hard to open, became unusable

Could barely open the gate, even with two hands. It got worse and worse over time. I bought another and it was worse. Sending both gates back.

This gate is a piece of junk. I bought one and it worked for about four weeks, then the bottom button on the latch stopped working, so the gate could not be opened. I ordered again, hoping it was a fluke, but this time the gate arrived with the very same defect. I 'll look for something from another manufacturer. I would certainly never buy a car seat here!

Good gate . Latch sticks

I use this gate for my toddler and my dogs . I bought 2 over 2 years ago and they were fine . Had to replace them recently and the auto close is great but the latch sticks and is loud and wake our toddler. You need to put a lot of pressure to open which causes it to be loud . Emailed customer care waiting to hear back from them . Might have to return them if the latch problem can't be fixed

Don't buy this it's junk

After one week the latch became inoperable and impossible to open. Need help from the manufacturer. No help or contact us info on the web pages. Take it back to the retailer. A major headache. Find another product. You'd be doing yourself a favor.

Latch is terrible

I bought this in preparation for our new baby and to separate our dogs space. The latch either does not lock or locks and even myself and spouse cannot open. It is over the return time to the store so was a waste of money. Do not recommend this product

Safety Hazard - Should be Recalled

The latch on the gate is completely unreliable making it a huge safety concern. The auto-latch function works about 20% of the time. The rest of the time the latch either is so stuck its nearly impossible for even an adult to open it, or its so loose that a gentle tap makes it swing wide open. We are buying a different gate because this gate is not at all safe. DO NOT BUY
