Terrible Ice Maker

The fridge is a beauty….looks amazing in my kitchen. I seriously bought it because it was in the model and loved the look. I always knew that the capacity would be smaller than previous fridges I had since it’s a counter depth fridge…which obviously adds to the great look in my kitchen. Big drawback, the ice maker is horrible. I can never get an adequate amount of ice out of it although it says full on my app. It is always freezing up on the bottom and small cubes come flying out of the back whenever you try and get ice out. I did not want an external ice/water dispenser as I liked the sleeker look on this one. For the price point of this appliance, this feature should be flawless. Not my best purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful but not functional

I love the look of my Cafe appliances. That was the train I purchased them. At the time there were not a lot of reviews about them. I took a chance.
The fridge is definitely the biggest disappointment. It is VERY small (shallow) for being the larger model. My camper fridge had more room. I’ve had to purchase things to modify the space such as short egg containers to maximize space.
The ice machine is a while other issue. I didn’t want the dispenser on the front so we could have a clean look. The ice machine was a huge design flaw. If you scoop ice, there is not a back to the compartment so ice is constantly falling out and down into the freezer. I had to purchase a piece of plexi to put in the back to try and keep the ice in the compartment. I’ve researched options to add on or replace with a more functional option but nothing. Even a simple pull device to allow ice to get into the cup would be an upgrade.
If subzero would have had a similar style I would have gone for it instead.
We’ve been in our house a year and this is my only regret. Again, beautiful but not the right size or functionality for our family.

Good fridge and freezer

Fridge is great. Freezer works great. The icemaker should be easier to get to, in my opinion this is a bad design and not user friendly.

Waste of money

The motor is terribly loud! The freezer is ridiculously small. Save your money. This is not worth the price! We’ve literally regretted this purchase since we bought it.

Large capacity

I love everything except the fact that my top refrigerator compartment is an open bin when the floor model had an enclosed compartment with a lift up cover. I expected the same one I saw on the floor. It’s quiet and easy to keep clean.

Ice maker is load and it leaks water in fridge!

Disappointed that this high end appliance is not so great. Ice maker is loud and the fridge leaks water. Nice looking and keeps food cold but not what you would expect from an expensive appliance.
