Ice maker problems

We are having issues with ice maker. It is not producing any ice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It took almost 4 months from purchase to delivery and $10,000. And this is what we got: out of the box we found a bump on the refrigerator door, a top door that does not fully close, two jammed screws half way in the holes, a bent freezer rack wire and 6 mysterious holes filled with caulk (the caulk is now shrinking) on both of the refrigerator side walls. Note that only 6 photos are allowed on the review.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had to call the service department right away apparently the factory didn’t hook some fan wires up properly. The device tech got it to run and now it’s great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have a couple of issues with this "high end" refrigerator. First off, the ice maker inside the freezer is poorly designed. The ice overflows into the rest of the freezer and I'm forever having to go shelf by shelf and pick up ice cubes. The reservoir should be made in such a way as to contain the ice so it can be scooped without cubes flying all over the inside of the freezer.
Second, another poor design, is the refrigerator door. When open, you have to open the door as far as possible in order for the bottom drawer to be operational. As such, it has left a black mark on the baseboard right outside the fridge. Very annoying and inconvenient when trying to get something quickly.

Although I had to wait a number of months before receiving the refrigerator/freezer I had ordered, I have been very happy with it because it is a beautiful addition to my kitchen and has all the features I could hope to have.
This refrigerator replaced a 30-year-old Sub Zero. The Cafe is a great value and every bit as stylish and user friendly as models with much higher price tags. I'd recommend it highly, we are very pleased.
First one came with the purchase of our new house. Fresh side kept freezing up, despite several visits from GE service. After replacing dampers and other components we were told it must be the main computer board which at the time had a 10 - 16 week lead-time. After several phone calls, GE replaced the refrigerator. Ice maker performance is very poor.

This is a good but basic appliance -Just a lot of cold storage. Ice maker makes a lot of ice, but the gap at the back means I am constantly dropping ice into the freezer. Plus, it is mounted pretty high up so if you are short, it will be hard to use. Motor is louder than my old Sub-Zero, but for the price difference, I Elul do expect that.
