Durable yet attractive.

At only 36" this range is spacious, the grills are heavy duty and extremely stable yet each removes independently for cleaning. I splurged for the copper knobs for a very classy look. While the LED lights in the knobs offer a very modern look, their real value is the safety feature which I already experienced when a burner was left on. I LOVE this cooktop!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to clean

I've had this cooktop for 4 months now and really enjoy the ease of cleaning it after use. I use Mrs Meyers baking soda and it cleans the spills better than expected. The cook top doesn't give me a headache to clean up after overboiling milk for oatmeal when I'm in a rush. It doesn't spill into areas I cannot reach so thats very good in my opinion. I've noticed a couple of scratches probably from a metal utensil on the surface. The iron burner covers do stain but I plan to soak them someday to remove stains. Overall I'm pleased with this cooktop.

Cheap knobs

Overall this is beautiful stove, but the knobs are really cheap. Whatever is under the silver finish appears to be something like styrofoam and of our 5 knobs 2 have melted marks from the touch of a hot pot and 3 have part of the sliver worn off the top. Very disheartening for a one year old stove!

works as advertised

This replaces a GE Profile cooktop of the same size. It is a substantial improvement. Each burner works flawlessly and provides more heat. It is easier to clear. Overall, it works perfectly. Time will tell whether it will hold up. The Profile did not.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very cheap knobs

I love this cooktop, but the knobs are very cheaply made. While cleaning the knob, I accidentally dropped it. When it the floor, the plastic stem cracked in half. Also, the finish on one of my knobs has come off as another reviewer had written. It's not made of stainless steel. Where can I obtain a replacement knob?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Piece but S.S. Scratches too Easy!

I’ve only used my cooktop for about 5 months and I’m already extremely disappointed I purchased it. For the money I paid for this piece I expected better, The “stainless” scratches far too easily for the most used appliance in the kitchen. Very hard to clean as it gets scratched each time you move the grates and/or clean it -even with a soft microfiber cloth! I’m very happy with my other GE Cafe appliances but would never recommend or purchase another cooktop! On the upside the grates are durable & strong, and I love the griddle!
