Great Functionality - but not durable

i have loved having this watch from the beginning - but after less than a year the rose gold color is rubbing off and is looking horrible! the watch looks old and discolored - not appealing at all . although i love the look of the rose gold, i should have gone with a silver toned watch so that i could have gotten more life out of it :( disappointing for sure.

Needed for payment technology but too big

I bought this watch so I could be hands free with my kids plus we aren't allowed to have our cell phones on us at work. The biggest factor I needed was the credit card payment ability. Had to return the new galaxy watch to buy this one because most places don't take samsung pay and the new watches no longer have mst payment technology, but this one does. Now I don't have to dig around in my wallet while my little ones are grabbing everything in the store and don't have to carry my credit card around in my pocket at work. One huge problem though is the size is really too big for my wrist. Tried to add photo but it doesn't work. Also- I keep having to constantly reset my watch face.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good but not great

The Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE 42mm in Rose Gold is overall a good watch. The ability to answer calls from your watch when not near your phone is a major plus. Also, having access to messages, emails, texts, reminders, and your calendar from your watch are fantastic features. The downside is the activity tracking. It is horrible! I participated in a 5k 3 weeks after receiving my Samsung Galaxy Watch. At last minute I decided to wear my other activity tracker as well (my Samsung Galaxy Watch has replaced it) just to test The Samsung Galaxy Watch out. Oh man! After I completed the 5k I checked the activity log on the watch and WOW was it off. I barely had 1.02 miles logged from the 5k!! I was shocked. It is consistently off by a minimum of 2100 steps at the end of each day. That's a huge difference! The watch is a good smart watch but it is not a good activity tracker at all. If there was a way to customize the activity tracker to you that would most likely help. Even just adding what your stride length is would help out a ton. I no longer use the Samsung Galaxy Watch for activity tracking as I can not trust what it tracks/records. Also, the watch band itself is more of a light peach color and not as pink as is advertised.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are so many wonderful features that the Samsung Galaxy Watch offers. It really does make your day more productive. First thing that is impressive is how long the charge lasts, and you can change the battery saver for even longer charge. There are so many different widgets and customization features that I won't be able to list them all. Lets start with the Samsung Health app that not only keeps track of your steps but lets you know how many calories you have burned and also reminds you to stretch and move if you have stayed still too long. It is also water proof so you can go swimming with it. The speakers are really good and being able to link up to your phone's music or a music app while you do housework is great or you can pair it with some Bluetooth headphones. You can use the Find My Phone feature and even if your phone is on silent it will ring. You can customize the Quick Settings panel as well as the order for your apps when using the bevel. There is also a Theater Mode which turns all the alarms, notifications, sounds and lighting off while in the theater. You can even take a screen shot on the watch and send it to your phone to share. By default if you double press the home key you will be taken to Bixby, and if you want to change that you need to go into Advanced Settings and choose what you want. There are so many watch faces to choose from as well. Some charge a small fee and others are free. There are just so many great things about this watch and I could go on and on! I totally recommend the Samsung Galaxy Watch!

I love it!! I wouldn't change a thing. I can place and receive phone calls, text messages, alerts, reminders, you name it! The first call i received, the caller couldn't even tell we were having a conversation on my watch! The battery life is GREAT. Charges fast. I have had it for a month and I am still discovering new surprises! Fitness tracker exceeded my expectations. The bands are easy to change.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Watch - minus the battery life.

I have been wanting a Samsung watch for years, so I finally sprung. After being with Timex, Polar, Fitbit and Garmin I was stoked to pick this up. Primary goal was to use this to it's full functionality. Sleep, HR, Workouts, connectivity, emails, calls, text, with and without my phone with me...etc. However, battery life doesn't support that. I get maybe 8.5 hours out of it at full capacity. 13 hours if I have the HR on manual. If it had a quick 15 minute full charge - it may be different, but after 3 months of use it is going up for sale and going back to another brand as that is what stays on my wrist mostly anyway. I literally sleep, wake, workout, shower and get ready for the day with the Garmin - then swap watches to start the work day. By the time I head to bed I am down to about 15% on the Samsung, so I swap it back out. If your day starts at 4, 5 or even 6am and you head to bed about 9 or 10pm, I would not buy this. Even with it on power saving, I can only get about 30 hours out of it, but then I am not using it for what I have it for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LTE Doesn't work

People from every carrier have reported the same problem that they can't connect to their LTE Network. First I thought it was a isolated problem with AT&T, and their Number Sync, but I read the reviews on the other Carrier sites, and learned others had the same problem. Honestly, becase of this, and the poor battery life Samsung should issue a recall for the Galaxy Watch.
