A Truly 'Smart' Mesh Network

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In today’s connected world, few things are more frustrating than a dead spot. While we are still forced to accept buffering videos or dropped Wi-Fi calls on 4G, the least we can expect in our own homes is comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage.
Until recently, there were few options to fix a poor home Wi-Fi signal, most of which introduced their own frustrations, such as frequent signal drops and throttled speeds.
Thankfully, over the last couple of years, with the introduction of Wi-Fi mesh routers, consumers finally have the option to place routers around the house, providing true comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage.
In bringing their own solution to the market, Samsung, as you might expect, haven’t simply created a ‘me too’ Wi-Fi-mesh kit, but one that also doubles up as a SmartThings hub, enabling a truly ‘smart’ home.
Before we jump ahead of ourselves, setting up Connect Home’s mesh is incredibly easy – simply place each ‘node’ a different locations within your home and set up using the Samsung Connect smartphone app.
Samsung, intent on creating and promoting the ‘smart home’, is focused on ultimate simplicity, which is where the Connect app comes in.
From the get-go, you can control and monitor each individual node, for strength of both speed and signal, directly from the app. From a SmartThings perspective, you can begin with simple devices, such as ‘smart outlets’ that allow you to switch on and off devices from the wall using your app.
It’s blissfully simple and the possibilities are endless. In the Connect Home, Samsung have created an incredibly effective way to improve your Wi-Fi signal and control your home. If, like me, you’ve just bought your first SmartThings device, you’ll find yourself scouring the internet for more SmartThings to add to your collection.

Awesome WiFi Mesh System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a certified techie on numerous technologies including wireless. I have wireless in a 3000 sq ft home where I had to add a wireless access point just to reach the far side of the house which helped a little. Adding the Samsung Connect Home Mesh 3 pack increased my wireless upload and download speeds in every room of the house by 60% which is phenomenal. You don't need to be a techie to install these units. Very simple and I was up an running within 10 minutes of deciding where to place them. Not only are the units powerful, they are small, sleek, and look great in any room. I placed the primary unit next to the cable provided router in the den which is the furthest room on the south side of the house. The second one was placed in the furthest bedroom on the north side of the house, and the 3rd one in the dining room which is center of the house. You CANNOT GO WRONG with these units. Highly recommended.

Easy Set Up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung Connect Home Smart Wi-Fi System - 3 pack is a very simple device to set up and run it basically does all the work for you as you just hook the home device to your modem and it will find the other two devices and make connections with them setting up. Not only does it deliver an optimized WI-Fi signal to every corner of your home, it also works as a Smart Things Hub, connecting compatible cameras, lights, voice assistants, and more to create your smart home.

Connect Home 3 Pack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I would like to say thank you for allowing me to test your new Samsung Connect Home 3-pack Smart Wi-Fi System. Upon unpacking the system, I was immediately impressed. The system has a very sleek design, no antennas, one power cord, one power port, and only two Ethernet ports. One Ethernet port is marked (IN) and the other marked (OUT).
It was almost as simply as: Plug the hubs in, connect them to your existing modem, and then connect the Samsung Connect system via the mobile app from the apple store or google play store to your home network. But I did say almost. The installation of the Samsung Connect system was very simply, but the app was somewhat difficult. There were no clear instructions how to navigate the app in order to connect the second and third hubs as extenders instead of hubs. But once connected the Samsung Connect system worked perfectly.
My home has a ton of mobile devices, tablets, and PC's. I must stay the Samsung Connect system took on the task with ease. The system allows you to connect anything that is compatible with the Samsung Connect system such as your home security system, lighting, security camera, televisions, heating / cooling system, and many more. I have to purchase additional SmartThings plugs to connect more items in my home.
I am extremely impressed at the coverage of the Samsung Connect Wi-Fi system. I placed a hub on each level of my home and we haven't had one lag in the signal since connecting them. With the mobile app, I can see what devices are connected and monitor the data on the system. I haven’t unlocked every feature of the Samsung Connect system yet, but I am looking forward to trying.

Samsung Never Fails

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung Home Mesh 3 pack have solved my problems, no more buffering or dead spots. I finally have Wi-Fi that extends through my whole house with faster speed. The setup was very easy with my Samsung Galaxy 8. The routers are very compact and easy to hide. You can controls all your smart things devices through the Samsung Connect app. The Smart hub is a great investment.....

I don't believe it was that easy

I'm a geek. I like instruction manuals and tweaking a new device to max out its potential. The app that guides you to set this up does all the work. OK, you have to plug the power and data cords in order but that's it. The was the expected period of updates, then everything clicked - first the hub then the two slave units. This replaces my 5 year old WiFi network in my 4br 2ba house and I have not heard a simple complaint of slow wireless connectivity. Not till i saw this app running did i know that there are 23 WiFi devices in my house. Now I can manage them all! 7 devices didn't even need to be on the network! I was toying with the idea of using a powerline adapter to feed the 2 slave units a Ethernet connection but the new WiFi is moving so fast I couldn't be happier. I believe the mesh multi-node system might be a better solution than a traditional wireless router and extenders - which is what i used to have. It still runs - I am relegating that to low-use IoT devices maybe house guests i don't like sticking around!

My family loves it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before getting the Samsung connect home, our wi-fi would often drop. After using the Samsung connect home, we never have to worry about losing Wi-Fi connection at all. Plus, now we have the option to turn our home into a smart home. We have an Amazon echo dot which also works along with the Samsung connect home. We just give Alexa the instruction And it can control anything that is connected through wi-fi.
