Well-made and very functional - I just installed three of them in my house. Actual swap from existing Honeywell thermostats were easy. The hard part? Getting it connected to my WiFi. Once I sorted that out, installing the second and third were simple.
The Thermostats works with Heat Pump cooling and heat but the programming sequence is not in the directions. I had to talk to a Rep and have him walk thru the programming procedures. He made a note to talk to management about having the procedures placed into the operators manual.
Everything about this has been spot on. The geofence is a great feature, taking away the need to lower the heat when going out for the day. And the remote sensor helps even the temps out in the home. Only miss is I wish it had a weekend night schedule feature. Overall a great Smart thermostat!
Very easy to setup. I had a Honeywell T4 and the T9 snapped into the old base. The temperature sensors were easy to register as well. I have 3 sensors and getting 2 more. I still have 1 room that stays cooler than the others, but I hope the 2 additional sensors will help.
Clunky interface- is it the current temp or the set temp shown? Tiny schedule numbers- is it the heating set temps or the cooling set temps? Calibration is 2-3 degrees off on both the main thermostat and sensor. I expected more technical expertise from Honeywell.
should have done this years ago. we don't use many of the "fancy" features but the ease and convenience of being able to check and adjust the temperature remotely is amazingly easy and fast! i love the feature that lights up the face whenever it detects motion. it is also very clean and unobtrusive and a definite upgrade over the older digital thermostat.
Thermostat works very well and as advertised. Set up is easy and the internal design is very well thought out and labelled. Features are also smart and well designed. I use the internet connections, but only because I'm behind a secure firewall. If that weren't the case, I wouldn't due to the VERY concerning lack of firmware update options. Any connected device these days should have firmware update options due to security lapses.
