A family member recommended the T9ST. Great quality, value and performance. A little learning curve on installation (if additional wires need to be connected). The large digital display is easy to see and you can control thermostat with your phone. (need to download app). It's nice to have a smart thermostat.
its a good thermostat, it doesn't have as many features as the more expensive ones, but it works, gives me local weather indoor and out, connects to the net I can change temps from anywhere, Im happy with it for what I paid for it, Im just not extatic what it for what I paid for it :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

One major flaw: too bright, returned because of it

Everything about the T9 works great. However, must return the product as we have it in our bedroom and even with the dimmest standby setting the face plate is too bright. You can set to turn the screen off, but once you tap the screen it goes to 100% brightness. Illuminating the room and waking anyone up. Seem ridiculous that once you tap the screen it goes so bright and can’t control the active brightness. Needs a firmware upgrade but since not available will return. Need to be able to set active brightness.
It’s super easy to use! We returned our Nest and exchanged it for the Honeywell. We really like the geofence feature. I guess the Nest has that also but we had to have multiple apps to use it. Honeywell is must more straight forward.
I've been using this thermostat for a few weeks and it is a decent system. However it falls short in several areas. I have added several motion detectors and while I have the app linked to my phone, there are times when someone is home who does not have the app signed into their phone. The motion detectors should be able to detect a presence in each room and enable home schedule. Additionally, the geolocation functionality should be able to work without internet, just using local connection from the phone to the thermostat, as well as additional schedules such as a morning cool/heat and then return to a more cost effective daytime temperature, I clouding peak hour charge temperature schedule.
Remote sensor will not connect. I have called helpline 4 times, only once did someone answer, he could not help, so he went to get an expert, 30 minutes later the line disconnected. Thanks a lot. Still not functioning
