Never trust Resideo Honeywell!!!

Resideo would not honor my warranty even after I proved with photographic evidence that their failed device as at fault!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very unhappy with device. It never worked properly according to the temp I set. I could set it to turn ac on at 80 degrees. It would either cool the house down to 70 or not turn on until temp in house was 85 .I tried resetting several times and it still did not work as expected. I’m going back to a device that’s “Old School “.
Like the fact that I don't have to get out of bed to turn out of and on and I can turn it on when I'm 30 minutes from home to make sure the house is nice and cool when I get home or the ability to turn it off while I'm on the road of I forgot to do that before leaving the house that way the A/C's not running all day when no one's at home.
Pros: works as advertised, drives to remote sensor temp as intended during set time, geo fence (off when away) useful. Touch screen response good. Adjust temp from app good.
Cons: a) can’t display time instead of temp on main screen when idle, b) app can’t show temp and heat/cool activity as graph like radio thermostat app does c) Cannot increase tolerance - the temperature “band” before heat/cool goes back on to maintain temp. At first was worried about more frequent cycling than old tstat, and that it would wear out old AC. Seems ok for now.
Thermostat works great except for it’s wifi feature which is the main reason i bought this particular model. Initially on installation it connects to my network then it gets disconnected most of the time & finally not connecting at all. I rebooted the router, reset to factory setting, disable SON, disable dfs, disconnected other wifi devices but still cannot find my network. Useless wifi.
Two major issues. One, I am not going to enter a password every time i launch a thermostat app. This is not a financial app, it does not need to be that secure. Two, there is no way to view real-time usage. Tracking day to day usage on my previous thermostat allowed me to recognize issues with my AC before the unit failed. This was not an option with the honywell app or website.
