Honeywell home App is slow to respond. Sometimes the front page on the app I’ll change the temp and nothing happens. I will need to click on the thermostat open it up and then change the temp. Very frustrating. Good for the price. Doesn’t fit flush to the wall. I have a zone system with 3 t9 thermostats and they are all the same.
I needed something to tell my AC unit, not what the temperature was in my upstairs hallway was, but rather what the temperature in my living room was. And, I needed it to change temperature for different activity levels of the day. It does this flawlessly.
Then I found that it also works great for changing the temperature on a vacation schedule, and I can view and edit everything - including the vacation schedule, from my phone. I wasn't thinking about that when I bought it, but I sure like it now. And, I've had no complaints on the way the software setup or operates.
The only thing I needed assistance with figuring out how my existing wiring was connected at the main unit. Otherwise, I could have installed it myself, but I bailed and had a serviceman come in and check out the wiring at the main unit.
It was fairly easy to install the T9 using the included instructions. The T9 blinds well with the wall. Controlling the unit using the app or on the T9 itself intuitive. The biggest drawback in my opinion from making this product good to great is HomeKit integration. It would make inclusion of my other smart home products so much more seem less.
A little more difficult to install if your older Honeywell thermostat was not installed properly in the Fort place. Waiting for annual inspection of furnace to ensure properly installed. Do like the additional remotes for other areas. App could be better
