This is exactly what I been looking for, that way I could control my thermostat by phone app no matter where I am and also use Alexa with it so I don’t have to go change it in the middle of doing something, but need the change. Also really like the Geofence so it automatically turns thermostat to different settings I have set when I leave and turns it back down so air is on as I am on the way back home. Awesome smart product!

I needed to have a better way to control my upstairs temperature especially during the summer. The AC was running constantly due to the placement of the thermostat. Within 30 minutes of installing this and the remote sensors my AC turned off and stayed off longer than it had in the past weeks.

Because I have owned both Nest and Ecobee thermostats previously, this review specifically compares the Honeywell T9 to those products.
Here is where the Honeywell T9 is superior to the Nest or Ecobee
- Price/Value: The T9 is priced very well compared to the other options and offers most of the same features and benefits
- Installation and Setup: The T9 was incredibly easy to install and configure for our home.
- Remote Sensors: The Nest does not have this feature. The Ecobee does

Here is where the Honeywell T9 is inferior to the Nest or Ecobee
- Design: Both the Nest and Ecobee are aesthetically more pleasing though the T9 is certainly not unattractive. The T9 main unit does not detect your presence in the room and thus the display remains active at all times. This is a little annoying in a bedroom if you don't like any light when you sleep. I wish there was a way to darken the display.
- Mobile App: The Honeywell App is easy to use and straightforward but not quite as impressive as the Nest and Ecobee Apps when it comes to features and flexibility.
- Auto Learning: Both the Nest and the Ecobee will learn your living patterns over time and create a schedule that matches those patterns. The T9 simply offers a manually programmed schedule or Geo-fenced option.
- Mobile App: The Honeywell App is easy to use and straightforward but not quite as impressive as the Nest and Ecobee Apps when it comes to features and flexibility.

Overall, I am very happy with the Honeywell T9. It is a great option if you are looking for a more affordable option to the Nest or Ecobee units. Since I have a dampered HVAC system with 3 separate zones in our home, the lower cost of the T9 was substantial and worth the savings.
