I've had the T9 for several weeks now and it's working well. Setup was simple and quick. Connection to the WiFi was easy, except that I had to enter the password on the thermostat: there's no bluetooth connection allow a smartphone or keyboard pairing to do the input, but at least this only needs to be done once or infrequently (power outages don't wipe out your settings). Connection to the remote sensors, even through metal lath walls to the far other end of the house worked. It does what it should.
The sensors are great since they help me balance the heat in the home properly by providing me more relevant temperature information for areas far away from the thermostat but that are directly affected by the thermostat. Having the humidity sensing at the thermostat and sensors is a plus since it's difficult to try to gauge humidity requirements in the winter with room humidifiers or spot humidity checks.
Some things I'd like improved or upgraded/added:
1) still no Apple HomeKit support. Not sure why this is so difficult to add through firmware/software upgrades. Google Home and Amazon Alexa can work with it, and while I can use those through their apps, I'd prefer to use HomeKit.
2) unlike the actual thermostat, which changes its background color to reflect when the system is on, the app doesn't do this. It tells you the system is heating in a small line of text that alternates between that message and humidity. Why not make it consistent with the interface used on the thermostat. That interface is great in its simplicity. One glance and you know what it's doing.
3) the thermostat itself should have had a built-in occupancy sensor, like many of its competitors. I suppose this was decided based on cost. I don't know how much more expensive it would make this system, but perhaps you can give the consumer that option by provider a version of the thermostat with this feature.
4) the away feature would work better without relying solely on geofenced mobile devices. Let's say I go away while I have guests in the home. I don't want the system to turn off while I am gone but people are there. Since there are occupancy sensors that would be active, those sensors should be able to realize that not everyone is away from home and then keep the system on. I suppose you don't want the system to turn on when only pets are at home, but an option to allow or disallow occupancy sensors when geofencing shows away would provide better control.

3 of the 4 issues could probably be fixed with a firmware/software upgrade. This would be highly appreciated.

If you are a current Honeywell thermostat customer, keep in mind, you do need to download a new app to recognize this new unit. Once you do that, setup is easy. It seems to give us the benefit of a multizone HVAC system when setup to balance temps amongst the sensors.

Big disappointment

I already had a Honeywell T5 and wanted to get the T9 because of the remote sensor, it was only a matter to pop the new T9 onto the old base without any change in wiring. I waited in anticipation for the setup display to light up and when it did I got a BIG Triangle stating "Factory Test Error". Now I have to send it back and hope the new one works and lasts.

Portability you any location in the house is excellent. Our bedroom temperature is amazingly comfortable now. Great product. I saved money on a technician who I would have used to relocate my thermostat. My thermostat now stays where it was. But I have placed the sensor where I would have relocated my thermostat. All easy steps and DIY. I would recommend this to anyone.

Excellent apps and Alexa skill. One minor improvement would be the ability to control the brightness of the back light as Honeywell has with some of their other thermostats.
