Great thermostat. A bit too expensive in my opinion. It would be great if additional wall mounting plates were offered. The standard mounting is fine for a new house, but older houses like mine may need to cover up some unsightly holes.

Love the next level of automation with this thermostat. I replaced my old wifi thermostat with the T9 and I never have to think about any settings as geofencing takes care of everything. I installed 2 sensors in addition to the T9 for total comfort

Easy to install. Took less than 30 mins to install the thermostat and 2 sensors. Keeps the rooms that have the sensors within 2 degrees of each other. Before the upstairs would be 8 degrees warmer. Range of sensors it great 2800sqft house.
Installation Complete. Both T9s perform very well. Installation took an hour longer than expected due to necessary wall repairs. Purchased the larger wall plate as specified in the installation manual. But it did not work with the T9. So wall repair was the only option. Also... Bother T9s came with great installation manuals, but no user manuals. Never was able to find any reference or description of the “Preferences” or “Settings”. Manages to work my way through those items using the “Trial & Error” method. Other than the items mentioned, both T9s are performing very well.
We wanted smarter, but not the smartest. At the price point, it was a nice upgrade from 1997 with an excellent execution. Docking one point as one unit was obviously an open box (c-wire adapter was missing its mount and signs of install; sensor was also missing its mount and batteries). The app makes adjustment seamless and convenient to not have to run around to multiple units. Weather function was a nice include, and the kids have already discovered that feature set. The use of the sensors to regulate/balance priority is absolutely brilliant, as our tstat is located in a dead hallway. Paired with a brand new AC system, we are finally able to reach comfort on that level without the unit running full on, or cutting off prematurely. No more hot spots!
Easy to use, but what I really hate about it and wish I never got it, is that its a fricken NIGHT LIGHT. It shines bright towards my bedroom and there is no adjustment or any way to turn that darn back light off. If your thermostat is installed in a room that needs a BRIGHT NIGHT LIGHT, then perfect. But if your thermost faces rooms that you sleep in, the I suggest a NEST THERMOSTAT.
Waiting for years for a Wi-Fi Honeywell that works

Have a Honeywell envirozone system and been told you can’t install a NEST because there isn’t a C wire and instead have a 3 wire mystery system? In several complicated and non congruent steps..you can rip out that old system (except those mystery damper wires??) and install this ugly thermostat over it and then attempt to place ugly sensors in your rooms so that it will give you multiple rooms temps. All in, it is nice to control via Wi-Fi and Alexa on my 20 year old system but in a dual zone system, it nominally works. Only 4 stars because the pir sensors are mis shaped, hideous and won’t stick to the wall. Additionally, the wiring on a semi complex system meant I just scraped the envirazone alltogether and now have 1 zone for three floors. Not ideal but my only alternative. The selling point is the c wire box.
