Wired right as per Honeywell support. warm air with honeywell, very cold air with Old Ring thermostat.

Great stat when it works

It's a great tstat when it works. I have had multiple times watching it reset. Sometimes it just turns off and I get up and pull it off to reset it. I'm probably going to get a power monitoring meter with data recording so I can prove to honeywell that the Stat socks and it's not the furnance.

Install was easy. Use at the device/controller is flawless. We continue to have wifi/app issues. If we make changes via the app, which is one of the main reasons we got this unit, they frequently do not translate to the actual controller. This is a major downside to our use-case. Would I recommend? Maybe, but with a bunch of warnings and caveats.

The T9 is just perfect for our house. We have return vents on each room, and frequently recirculated, but our rooms would still all be too hot or too cold. With this and the remote temp sensors, it's allowed our house to be comfortable everywhere where we're at.

Initial wiring was extremely difficult with the provided instructions. After much research, I was eventually able to get the thermostat to heat and cool, but it ended up being a matter of trial and error with the wiring. I am apparently one of many who have had this problem when trying to follow the wiring instructions when the hvac unit is a heat pump. The thermostat now will heat and cool, but will still not run the emergency heat. I am going to have to call an hvac technician to troubleshoot the problem.
