We bought the thermostat as part of a modernization of our house. The thermostat itself, is easy to use and has worked seamlessly since we installed it. The Resideo App also works seamless and is easy to understand. I should also state that we originally intended to utilize the thermostat with Control 4, but for unknown reasons the Control 4 app will not interface with the thermostat. Nev
Excellent thermostat. Accurate temperature readings on both the thermostat itself and its wireless sensor. Interface is easy to use and see. Responsive touch screen. Accurately and precisely uses the 2 stages of both my heating and cooling of my system. I previously had an RTH9585WF and I had issues with the temperature sensor not reading correctly or not working at all thus crippling my system. The screen on that unit was also very unresponsive and it didn’t accurately use both stages on my system. Definitely upgraded which the T9 thermostat and with the wireless temperature sensor. My house now feels more evenly controlled and balanced on temperature.
Not a lot of options for heat choices doesn’t display a temperature and time you have to press it not there were other Honeywells out here better than the T9
This thermostat seems to utilize a half of a degree sensitivity to kick the furnace back on. This resulted in the furnace running for 5 minutes, off for 10. Back on for 5, off for 10. Felt like excessive wear and tear on the HVAC system, and was annoying to constantly hear the systems firing back up. Ended up switching to an ecobee. This setting can be adjusted, but right of out the box, it was a much more normal cycle. The system now runs for longer periods, but way less often. Much more relaxing.
Additionally, the data insights from usage are so delayed in the app, it's laughable.
I switched to the T9 from Nest. The thermostat was easy to install and seems to function well. The Resideo app is slightly less impressive than my previous Nest experience. I felt like I had more detailed control, especially regarding scheduling, in the Nest app. Additionally, the "Runtime" information was much more detailed and accurate in the Nest app. Overall, the Nest app seemed more "user friendly", but the Resideo still offers most (but not all) of the functionality I previously had.
This is the 4th house that I have installed a Honeywell smart Thermostat but first time using the T9. I love the easy install and setup. Gives you everything you need even if your missing the C wire.
