Good thermostat and app, could use minor improv...

I've liked this thermostat more than the Google nest so far, but the app could use some work. I often have to force quit the app and relaunch it in order to get the current temperature and set point to update. Its also not exactly clear at a glance if the system is running because the app cycles between the indoor humidity and whether or not its running. There is plenty of space on the UI to have both, and even the remote sensor temps at a glance.
One feature request that would truly set the app apart would be the ability to set a schedule with multiple rules based on minimum or maximum temperatures. For example, I want my master bedroom cooled to 69 degrees at night, but I don't ever want the nursery to be less than 70 degrees. So the system would try to cool the master to 69 until the nursery gets too cold. Currently, I can only set the schedule based on one sensor or an average of more than one sensor.
Overall, this is an improvement over the Nest, and I'm happy with it.
I'd give this app 5 stars, but it doesn't allow me to hold a different temp after a determined amount of time. If I have 2 scheduled timed events ie 6 AM, 6 PM, upon changing the temperature, the only option I have is for the thermostat to revert to the scheduled temp. So if it's 10 AM and I change the temp, it'll hold until the next event at 6 PM, or I can also remove the hold manually, but then that defeats the purpose of having a "smart" thermostat.
Very atrractive design & looks good on the wall. Replaced a N**t with this. While installation instructions were useful, operations and feature directions are lacking. I find this thermostat very sensitive to temperature so it runs more often for lesser amount of time. My bill is $20 higher than in the past but it's been very hot summer. The Geofence does not appear to be working. But this is just a thermostat so I'm not going to grab another app just to maybe have more features. The Run Time display is 72 hrs behind. I'm second guessing myself.
It is nice looking and works well with the remote probe. Unfortunately, it relies on a remote server that sometimes goes down for maintenance. When this happens, simple functions like remote control will not work. This has only happened once, very briefly. Also, the remote app will not install unless you give it location permission. You can turn off permission after it installs. The only feature that requires location is geofencing, which I do not use.
The app is some what troublesome for adding users. We have tried repeatedly to add my wife but eventhough she registered in the app, she never gets a notifacation.
