Love it, but it is not always user friendly. For instance, you have to manually switch from heating to a/c. Intentionally go in and switch over to heat vs. cool. Otherwise it's great!
Have purchased 3 of these so far between work and home. Will be getting more for both to finish out the HVAC systems in both now that I've worked with the first ones. Purchased to try out and we are very happy with them in both places.
Three great features are the Automatic mode that does both heat and AC for those spring and fall times when you would previously have to keep switching back and forth. Now I just set a high and low temp and it does it automatically.
Second feature is if you buy the remote sensor(s) you can either set priority for one or do what we do and set it to balance between the two. This let's the system make two distinctly different areas serviced by the unit have fewer hot or cold spots. It is literally two or more thermostats for the one unit.
The third feature is being able to set the fan to Circulate. This turns on the fan only on occasion to stir the are even if the temps are good without using the heating or AC costly parts of the system and I feel this reduces the times the unit has to run.
I started using remote thermostats more than 15 years ago as our church campus had 17 thermostats between three buildings. Being able to control all thermostats from my computer or smart phone was a game changer. Now I have installed this T9 in my house for the same practical reason, controlling the thermostat from any location. The thermostat works fine, but the remote interface, an app called Resideo, leaves a bit to be desired. It is typically slow to respond and occasionally freezes up, which is very annoying. Recently, the app got stuck in the weather report mode and I tried all fixes I could find on the internet. Nothing worked. A couple of days later it fixed itself. During that time, I had to manually adjust the thermostat, which is not why I purchased a remote thermostat. Someone needs to hire a cracker-jack programming nerd who can fix the bugs in the Resideo software and get this working like it is designed to do. I never had this much problem with those thermostats 15 years ago, and that was older technology.

Hi, thank you for reaching out and providing us with your feedback with the T9 smart thermostat. We appreciate the feedback and will utilize your comments.
The remote app is fairly easy to understand and program, but it would be nice if an easy setup could be provided for "away" (= a max and min temp range). No way to dim the display. I had a Nest recently, the display went dark until the thermostat sensed someone close. That was a nice feature
