Hi RetiredEE, we will be happy to help verifying the configuration of your T9 thermostat to make sure that it is controlling your HVAC system properly. Visit the Support Center link at the top of the page for ways to get in touch.
It was super simple to set up (as long as you are not having to undo the rat’s nest of wires the last owner had). It is super easy to navigate and it is easy to see. It does not have a ton of settings…. Because the settings it has are expertly set up so you don’t need them. The T9 is the best smart thermostat (out of the 9 I have either used or installed) that I have encountered with amazing connectivity, ease of use, and simple to navigate screens. This is a thermostat that will cover every need for 90% of people out there, hands down.
I like but sensors one min read a temperature then the next change temperature by a few degrees when turning on furnace

The major disappointment with this thermostat is that it isn't programmable for the temperature differential at which the auxillary heat turns on when installing on a heat pump system. If the temperature schedule varies by more than 2 degrees, the auxillary heat automatically turns on 'wasting' money on trying to heat quickly instead of letting the heat pump do it's job. And one cannot turn this 'feature' off by setting a minimum temperature at which auxillary heat is used. This thermostat would be fine on a gas heater system or if one didn't want to schedule temperature differences more than 1.5 degrees.

Hi Ron, thank you for taking the time to rate the T9 Smart Thermostat. We appreciate the feedback and will utilize your comments as we update our products.
I had an older model Honeywell thermostat that based the temperature of the whole house off of one room, and because of the window configuration in my home, that was less than ideal. This new thermostat comes with room sensors and can tailor heating and cooling to active rooms in the house and I LOVE IT.
